CIMCO’s secure and permanent solution for earthing PV panels. The choice for simple and permanent
protection. It is necessary to protect photovoltaic panels by earthing. It should be permanent and guarantee
protection against the effects of lightning strikes and electromagnetic interferences over the entire service life.
The connection series offers you solutions that suit the various types of photovoltaic panels. A secure earthing
connection is provided by the establishment of an optimal electrical contact between the panel housing and the
earthing conductor. The module frames are made of aluminium that is anodised or whose surface is otherwise
treated. These surface treatments protect against rust but are not conductive. Thanks to the series, electrical
contact with the aluminium of the panel becomes possible either by means of a cutting thread with the screwed
models, or by means of a bolt connection with the help of serrated washers that scrape off the anodising when
tightened. The connection is secured by tightening the earthing conductor with a maximum cross section of
10 mm2. With an insulated conductor you have to remove the insulation on 30 mm. The models are
made of stainless steel which guarantees rust protection and galvanic compatibility
with the aluminium.
