SPECIFICATION OF LIGHTING DISTRIBUTION BOARD

1.0 SPECIFICATIONS:
The Panel shall have the following features:
1. Panel shall be indoor, industrial and cubicle type.
2. Panel shall be built on Self supporting, floor mounting, rigid framework.
3. The frame of the panel shall be sufficiently strong and made of minimum
50 x 50 x 6mm MS angle iron with intermediate members of suitable section
& size. The frame shall be mounted on a bottom structure made from 75 x
40mm MS channel.
4. The board shall be sheet steel clad, cubicle type made of 2.0mm thick MS
CR sheet.
5. Board shall be Dust / vermin proof and weatherproof with IP54 degree of
protection.
6. Bottom detachable gland plates made from 3 mm thick MSCR sheet shall
be provided for all cable entries. Height of bottom detachable gland plate
shall be 800 mm from floor level.
7. The entire metal work shall be treated with seven tank antirust treatment as
per IS and then powder coated in DA Grey color.
8. Special non-deteriorating Neoprene rubber gaskets shall be provided
between all joints.
9. Panel shall be designed for Ambient of 45°C (Max)/ 5°C (Min) and
Humidity-95% (Max).
10. Board shall be suitable for operation from front side.
11. All panel doors shall be provided with single turn latches for opening /
closing.
12. Danger plates shall be fitted on front and back of the panel.
13. Adequate nos. of lifting lugs shall be provided on top.
14. Ventilation louvers if provided shall be guarded with wire mesh.
15. Internal earthing between fixed base of the board's enclosure and doors
shall be provided with suitably rated, PVC insulated, flexible copper earth
wires or copper braids of suitable rating as per IS.
16. Earthing bus shall be provided at bottom of the panel. Earthing Bus shall

be made of 50x5 mm GI straps with 80 micron galvanisation thickness.
Brought out studs shall be provided on two sides where holes drilled for
connection with main earth electrodes Suitably sized zinc passivated double
nuts and spring washers shall be provided for earth cable/ strap connections.
Legend: "HAZ AREA LDB, (230V Ph-Ph)" shall be provided at the top centre.
2.0 PANEL COMPARTMENTS / SECTIONS
The LIGHTING DISTRIBUTION BOARD shall broadly have the following
compartments / sections.
A) Incomer section
B) Outgoing section
A) INCOMER SECTION:
The incomer section shall contain One no. 100A, FP CFS, fused 63A
The incomer section shall be housed in a compartment separate from the
cubicle containing the outgoing section and shall be complete with tinned
copper brought out terminals of suitable rating and single compression cable
gland suitable for 1 no. x 4C x 25 mm², PVCA, Copper cable provided on the
bottom detachable gland plate. Suitably rated tinned copper lugs for all
incoming cable connections shall be supplied with the brought out terminals.
B) OUT GOING SECTION
The outgoing section shall comprise as follows:
1. One no. 4P-63A-230V coil Contactor; an Auto/Manual switch; one no. 24
hrs time switch; ON/OFF push buttons. The contactor coil shall be powered
from ph-ph circuit and shall be operated either in the auto mode through the
timer or by the ON/OFF push buttons in the manual mode. Terminals shall be
provided for a remote PBS.
2. Earth-leakage protection shall be provided with separate CBCT & ELR and
shall be wired to trip the contactor in case of an earth leakage.
EL current Range: 0-1A, adjustable in preferred steps of 50/100mA
Trip Time Range: 0-3s, adjustable in preferred steps of 50/100ms.
The relay shall have indication LEDs, test push button, reset push button and
shall be duly wired up to trip starter in case of earth leakage.
3. 12 nos. DP-10A RCBOs (sensitivity 300mA) distributed & wired up evenly
in Ph-Ph circuits as outgoings.
4. A TP tinned copper bus bar shall be provided in the outgoing section and
incoming side of all DP MCBs shall be connected using suitably sized and
rated PVC sleeved tinned copper bars or PVC insulated stranded copper
cables as recommended by the manufacturer. The bus bars shall be
supported using with non- hygroscopic, non-deteriorating, and

non-inflammable SMC / FRP supports. A separate tinned copper bus of at
least half the size of the phase bus shall be provided for the neutral.
Terminations for all cables shall be done through suitably rated tinned copper
lugs.
5. LED indication lamps shall be provided to indicate power availability in the
ph-ph circuits viz RY, YB, BZ
6. One no. Terminal block shall be provided at the rear of the panel for all the
outgoing terminations. A suitable reverse entry termination box shall be
provided for the TB. The outgoing terminal of the individual DP MCBs will be
terminated to the TB through 1C, 4 sqmm, stranded copper wires. The wires
shall be dressed properly and adequate supports shall be provided to fix the
wires rigidly. Arrangement shall be provided to terminate the outgoing cables
from bottom of the panel. Suitably rated tinned copper lugs for all outgoing
cable connections shall be supplied with the TB.
7. Sufficient space shall be provided for cable termination, dressing and
connecting cable leads to the brought out terminals.
8. Suitable cable entry arrangement with detachable gland plates shall be
provided. Adequate nos. of single compression heavy duty nickel plated brass
cable glands suitable for PVCA, 3C, 4 sqmm Copper cable shall be provided
on the bottom detachable gland plate.
9. Adequate nos of saddles shall be provided at rear of the panel for rigidly
supporting the outgoing cables.
3.0 DOCUMENTS:
1. The following documents shall be submitted with the offer
a) GA drawing of the panel.
b) Single line Power circuit diagrams.
c) Technical specification of all components used.
2. The successful bidder shall obtain approval for the following drawings /
documents.
a) GA drawing showing all details, including constructional detail and
component layout for panels.
b) Single line Power and control circuit diagrams.
c) Technical specification of all components.
d) Bill of materials with catalogues of various components.
3. Four sets of the following documents shall be submitted with the supply
a) Approved GA drawing showing all details, including constructional detail
and component layout for panels.
b) Approved Single line Power and control circuit diagrams.
c) Technical specification of all components.
d) Test certificates.
e) Guarantee Certificate.

4.0 GENERAL NOTES:
1. The board should be properly packed to avoid ingress of rain
water/moisture and damage during the transit.
2. The panel shall be guaranteed for 1 (one) year from the date of supply or
18 months from the date of delivery. Guarantee cards shall be duly signed
and stamped by the supplier and shall be provided along with the supply.
3. In their offer the party must mention their detailed comments point-wise
against each point of tender specifications and general notes. Any deviation
from the tender specification shall be specifically mentioned. Specific type
and make of equipment shall be clearly mentioned. All the information
required as per tender specifications must be submitted. In case of no
deviation, bidder shall categorically mention in the offer as "NO DEVIATION".
4. In case of an order the complete tender specification shall be mentioned in
the order. However, deviations from tender specifications, as mentioned by
party in their offer and subject to acceptance by OIL shall be mentioned in the
order.
5. All electrical details shall be submitted within 45 days of placement of
order. OIL shall require minimum 30 days time for approval of drawings. The
approval time may increase depending upon clarifications required from the
bidders.
6. The manufacture of the board is to be started only after written approval of
the drawings / documents by OIL.
7. In case the documents furnished by the bidder as per above do not comply
with any of the points mentioned in the order then the order will be cancelled
without any obligation on part of OIL. IN CASE OF SUCH CANCELLATION
OIL WILL RECOVER FROM THE PARTY THE COST INCURRED BY OIL IN
PROCESSING THE TENDER TILL THE TIME OF CANCELLATION.
8. The panel shall be inspected by Engineers of OIL before dispatch. Any
alteration requirements pointed during the inspection shall be carried out by
the manufacturer and confirmed before dispatch, without which dispatch
clearance shall not be given.

Standard Notes: (1) VALIDITY : Your offer must be valid for 75 days from the date of bid opening. Offer
with inadequate validity will be rejected.
(2) If you do not quote directly, please forward this to your authorize dealer to quote with
due authorization by you.
(3) To evaluate the inter-se ranking of the offers, Assam Entry Tax on purchase value will
be loaded as per prevailing Government of Assam Guidelines as applicable on bid closing
date. Bidders may check this with the appropriate authority while submitting their bids.
Special Notes : 1. The documents as indicated in clause No. 3.0 (1) of specifications shall be submitted along
with the offer failing which offer will be rejected.
2. The switchboard shall be inspected by OIL's Engineer at the premises of the manufacturer
before dispatch. Prior information shall be given to OIL for inspection.
3.
The bidder shall confirm that the switchboards shall be supplied within 60 days after
placement of the order.
4.
Bidder shall confirm with supportive documents that they are in the business of
manufacturing switch- boards similar to the ones mentioned in the tender.
5. Bidder shall categorically confirm that their offer comply with all the points mentioned in NIT.
All points of the NIT shall form part of the order. The bidder shall specifically mention any
deviation or non-compliance to NIT points, which shall form part of the order subject to
acceptance by OIL. "No deviation" shall also be categorically mentioned.
6. Packing should be adequate to avoid transit damage and ingress of water.
