Installation Instructions








Securely attach the trunnion arm to the mounting surface.
Determine the position of the re-lamping port. If two or more Turbos are to be mounted side by
side, the orientation of one Turbo will have to be altered to the alternative mounting position.
NOTE – The Turbo can be mounted with the re-lamping port at the left or right end by simply
positioning the body into the trunnion using either of the mounting options provided.
Terminate the high temperature flexible cable into a suitable junction box ensuring that the active
conductor is connected to the output of the ignitor.
Open the re-lamping port by loosening the four fixing screws (about four turns) and twist the port
door to achieve to the lamp chamber.
Fully insert the lamp into the lampholder.
Re-position the re-lamping port aligning lamp into the spring-loaded support and re-tighten the
four fixing screws.
For optional Glare Shield mounting details, refer to diagram overleaf.
Caution



Ensure that the lamp used is compatible with the discharge control gear.
Ensure that the ignitor supplied with the remote control gear is suitable for the intended mounting
distance from the lamp.
Capacitance in the cable between the lamp and the ignitor can restrict the ability of the ignitor to
strike the lamp. Ensure that the correct cable is used between the lamp and the control gear.
Maintenance Instructions





Check that all mounting and fixing screws are correctly fastened.
Check condition of gasket on access port entries and replace if required.
Keep the floodlight clean to minimise thermal load on the floodlight.
Replacement lamp to be compatible with the control gear.
Ensure the incoming cable gland and fibre washer are securely locked into the end casting.
Important – Safety
Before carrying out any servicing on this luminaire, ensure that the mains supply is fully isolated.
Voltages greater than mains voltage can be present during operation.
