About GH SOLAR
Implementing the future of
energy and extending its
global reach
GH SOLAR develops ON-GRID and OFF-GRID solar energy solutions for
end-consumers, industrial applications, and power plants for communities.
GH SOLAR has its roots in Europe where it exceeds more than 5,000
installed projects from the north of Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium,
over France till the south of Italy and Greece.
Project sizes start at 3,000 Wp and scale up to more than 5 MW, delivering
the needed electricity for families, farms, factories or communities.

save energy
GH SOLAR is realizing the best solar solution for your needs.
GH SOLAR delivers the whole package including engineering, product
components and installation support.
GH SOLAR and its founders do believe in the added value of solar energy
to contribute to a cleaner planet. Solar systems generate no CO2, noise,
smell or any other pollution and their users benefit from a long system
lifetime and very limited maintenance.

How solar energy works?
Photovoltaic solar modules
convert sunlight into direct
current electricity.
Photovoltaic solar modules are connected in series and generate electricity when exposed to sunshine or visible light. The
generated electricity is guided to an inverter which inverts the
direct current into alternating current. Alternating current (AC) is
the same type of current delivered by the public electricity grid
and can be used for all electrical appliances.
Batteries can be added when electricity is needed during night
time, cloudy days or during electricity grid blackouts. A smart
box manages charging and discharging of the installed battery
system.
Classical systems can be classified into ON-GRID and OFFGRID systems. An ON-GRID system is a solar system which is
connected to the public electricity grid while an OFF-GRID
system is a stand alone power system.
Our state of the art technologies allow to use the existing power
sources like electrical grid or diesel generators with solar
energy systems. This can be done by intelligent system design
in combination with active steering and monitoring devices.
These solutions are known as HYBRID systems.

ON-GRID & OFF-GRID
ON-GRID
ON-GRID or grid-connected systems are the
most basic and most cost effective systems
to generate electricity. ON-GRID systems
are used for single houses, factories or
power plants delivering power to whole
communities. ON-GRID solar systems
can supply power to your house for daily
usage while the grid still serves as backup.
For locations where the reliability of the
grid is sufficient, there is no need to install
batteries.
An ON-GRID system equipped with a battery
bank, is the most suitable power solution for
these locations where the availability of the
grid is limited.

OFF-GRID
OFF-GRID or stand alone solar systems
operate independently of the public
electricity grid. Depending on the electrical
loads, the solar system delivers direct or
alternating current.
When electricity needs exist solely during
daytime, the generated power can be used
immediately. Examples can be found in the
agricultural water pumping systems.
When additional electricity needs exist
during night time or during cloudy days, a
battery backup can be added.

Solar Energy Solutions - Residential
Residential solar systems
Residential solar systems are typically solar
systems which generate the needed power for
households and communities. Battery backups
can be installed in case of insufficient availability
of the grid.

Solar Energy Solutions – Agricultural
Agricultural solar systems
Agricultural solar systems are traditionally installed in areas
where no public grid is available and water is needed for
irrigation. Systems can be installed with or without battery
backup depending on the timing of electricity usage.
Nowadays the most implemented agricultural solar system is
the solar pump system which supplies water for usage in farm
activities or for crop irrigation.
GH SOLAR delivers customized solutions for green houses and
water purification needs.

Solar Energy Solutions – Industrial
Solar Energy Power Plants
Power plants deliver the needed power for whole
communities. They are traditionally installed
as ON-GRID systems without battery backup.
These large scale systems need approval and
support from the local authorities.
Upon request GH SOLAR delivers solutions for
industrial zones or sole factories.
The newest technology in the sector combines
existing power sources with solar energy. These
state of the art systems are intelligently designed
and harmonize the power generated by the
different energy parts into HYBRID systems.
Combinations of grid and solar energy or diesel
generator and solar energy can be implemented.
