DESCRIPTION
The XP95 series addressable sounder control module,
model 55000-825, is designed to fit one circuit of
notification appliances or switches audio to a voice
evacuation speaker circuit. An eight position dip switch
allows for setting the device address and whether the
notification appliance circuit (NAC) is wired to the
module as a Class A (Style Z) or Class B (Style Y)
circuit. This unit requires power from a separate,
regulated, power limited 24 VDC supply that is UL
Listed for Fire Protective Signaling per NFPA 72.
Each module can be addressed from 1 to 127, using
the 8 position dip switch. The dip switches are binary
numbers to make up the address. By selecting the on
position for each number and then adding them up,
gives you the device address. The dip switch numbers
are 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, and 64. As an example, a
detector addressed at number 20 would have the
numbers 16 and 4 in the on position.
