IMSE 4085 Problems in Industrial Engineering
Credit for Work Experience (internship/co-op)
I, ________________________________________, intend to register for ___
(1-3) hours of credit in IMSE 4085 for the Winter Summer Fall (circle one)
semester of 20_____.
In order to receive this credit, I agree that I will be employed full-time for 40 hours
per week for a minimum of eight weeks, that I will be employed in an IE related
field, and that my employment activities will be IE relevant work that can be
verified.
I will submit a work abstract discussing the potential IE related aspects of the
proposed work to my advisor and the director of undergraduate studies for
approval prior to my work experience. I will maintain a daily Log Book of
activities and observations; write a paper detailing my activities during my
employment that will contain specific examples of IE related work done. I will
also include sections describing what IE tools I used during my employment, what
new tools I learned, and what IE tools I will be learning that would be beneficial to
the work I am doing. I will make an oral presentation to my advisor based on my
work and the written paper at the end of the internship/co-op.
The credit I receive for my work experience will be applied as a:
