DS0029 – Issue 1 08/12 Emergency LED Driver ELEDD 12 High Technology Emergency LED Driver The ELEDD enables mains powered LED luminaires to be driven in emergency from a battery. With over 30 years experience and a reputation for quality emergency lighting solutions, the design and construction of the ELEDD is assured. Reliability and long service life are a given and to back that up, every module carries a three year guarantee. User-accessible selection of output current means that each ELEDD can be set to one of two output levels, allowing a more precise match to the host LED scheme. For the supplier this means a smaller stock range and reduced costs. The battery and mains supply should be left uninterrupted for 24 hours to ensure that the battery is fully charged and capable of providing 3 hours emergency duration. The LED indicator will be permanently illuminated, showing that the battery is being charged. If the LED indicator is not illuminated, check battery connections. REVERSING BATTERY POLARITY WILL CAUSE PERMANENT DAMAGE TO THE CONTROL GEAR. DALI, D1 variants only DALI allows two wire communications between the luminaire and a central monitoring or control system designed to meet the requirements of DALI standard IEC62386. If module is not connected to a DALI network the product will default to stand alone AutoTest® mode.
