JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Change Lead, Business Delivery
Department / Business Stream: Threshold, CSD
Location: Cambridge
Reports to (job title): Business Delivery Director
JOB PURPOSE
To support the delivery into the business of large and complex projects within the Threshold
programme, by acting as the primary point of contact between the business team assigned to the
project, or project phase, and the Threshold team in respect of planning and managing deployment
into the business of capabilities delivered by Threshold.
To ensure that the impact of new capabilities delivered by Threshold are documented and
understood in order that testing, training, delivery and adoption of new systems is managed
successfully, and to then support transition to new ways of working to a stable, high-volume,
business-as-usual state.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Works in partnership with Project Threshold staff and Business Change Managers to design and
complete business impact and readiness assessments in the business stream.
Works with senior business stakeholders to understand the opportunities to improve business
functions and end-to-end business processes through configuration and adoption of Project
Threshold capabilities, including security and access privilege management.
Based on the business impact analysis, supports UAT preparation, planning and implementation
Help to ensure that each Project Threshold capability delivers what the business requires by
ensuring that the critical needs and variances from a standard process are fully defined and clearly
communicated.
Contribute to business process discussions/forums as appropriate, ensuring that where
compromises are necessary they still result in new processes and systems that will enable the
business to operate efficiently and in line with customer expectations
Ensure that user acceptance testing covers all expected usage scenarios at an appropriate level of
detail and complexity to reflect use at peak operating volumes. Support the development of
scenarios and be present throughout UAT to coordinate and focus activity.
Support the development of detailed adoption plans and new working procedures so that training,
communication and rollout plans support successful adoption. Support production deployment
planning with the Data Centre where required.

Educated to first degree level or equivalent
A formal qualification in either project or change management

Experience

Thorough understanding of change management approaches and methodologies.
Detailed understanding of the complexities involved when managing inter-dependent
technology and process changes to realise truly ‘IT-enabled’ business change.
Strong understanding of internal assessment models, operational models, processes and
procedures.
Knowledge of Cambridge Assessment and its products.
An awareness of the key features and challenges within the international and competitive
context in which Cambridge Assessment operates, including the nature of the relationship
between the business and its centres/customers.
It is expected that the post holder will have at least 3-5 years’ experience leading or managing the
implementation of business change activities in a complex business setting.
