2. Refer to Details A01, A04/ A10.12 as shown. The Rain Screen
is installed in a horizontal application as described in Section 07
42 00 Exterior Wood Panels, Paragraph 2.02B.3.6.2. In the
interior, horizontal installation, the panels are installed and
fastened over gypsum sheathing to the metal stud framing.
Manufacturer’s channels typically required in an exterior
application are not required.
Refer to manufacturer
recommendations for horizontal and vertical fastening
requirements.
