PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Introduction
The S-618-P-DR sensor is designed to function in LED
lighting fixtures found in meeting rooms, classrooms, and
other shared spaces, reducing energy usage when persons
are no longer present. Offering multiple levels of dimming
when used in conjunction with 0-10V compatible power
supplies such as LED drivers, this sensor is rated IP66 for
outdoor fixture installation. Its multi-element PIR detector
senses motion that enters its field-of-view, and its load
will remain powered until no motion is detected and the
configured time delay period has expired.
Operation
This sensor’s internal photocell allows it to switch and dim
its load according to available light. After available light
drops below the configured threshold, the unit will power
and control the connected light at its pre-set high dimmed
light level when motion is detected. Once motion ceases
and the configured time delay lapses, the sensor will switch
to the configured low dimmed light level. If no motion is
sensed during the secondary time delay, then the sensor
switches the light off completely.
Commissioning
Setup for sensor adjustments is performed via the included
IR remote control. The remote allows parameter changes to
high and low dimmed light levels, sensitivity of the PIR detector, time and shut off delays, and light output. All settings are
stored in non-volatile memory in case of electrical fault.
Applications
This low-profile sensor is designed for installation inside
the bottom of a light fixture body. When fully assembled and
installed in an IP66-rated fixture, the sensor and lenses are
IP66 outdoor rated, ideal for the following applications:
