FACT SHEET Marking Systems Easy to use, fun to play marking options for instant games – from Scientific Games Make a good game even better Graphic ClearMark™ At Scientific Games, we understand that a good extended play game can be made great by simply using the right marking system. A one-size-fits-all approach always doesn’t work in today’s competitive environment to keep players engaged. That’s why we offer our lottery customers not one, but four different marking systems, each with its own advantages and each uniquely suited for games that feature a particular play style. ClearMark™ Lottery players have told us again and again that the most important attribute of a marking system is the ability to clearly and easily see which play spots have been scratched. Scientific Games’ ClearMark™ system meets this preference – and more. In order to provide a clear and easy to read marking system, we offer a variety of bright, fun ClearMark colors that are smooth to scratch and that enhance the graphics of the game. Scientific Games’ ClearMark system has been the “go to” marking system for our successful Match & Win™ and Crossword games – and it’s also now available for our vast library of Bingo-themed games. One ClearMark color is classic and impressive on its own. Add two or more colors to create a graphic design in the play area, and you have a stunning game with Graphic ClearMark. These features allow us to design, print and further enhance ticket appeal while supporting the game theme. Integrated graphics (a common graphic on both the display area and overprint area) is more impactful with Graphic ClearMark and enables our customers to offer their players eye-catching games and a more entertaining play experience. Graphic ClearMark is available on all extended play games and is suitable wherever our classic ClearMark is used. Marking systems that add to the play action SureMark™ Well known in the industry as “dual pass imaging,” SureMark™ is constructed of a layer of imaged symbols covered by an opaque scratch-off coating. A second layer of imaged symbols is then printed on the scratch-off coating. The two sets of symbols can be identical or intentionally different, depending on the game’s play action. This process is unique to Scientific Games and works extremely well for Bingo, Slingo® and our patented Go To® play action games. 12/2013 FACT SHEET Marking Systems SureMark also provides a fresh, new way to strategically add color to an already familiar play action. Think of a Bingo game with color imaging beneath the marking system that offers doublers or instant wins. The appeal of the SureMark marking system is added excitement to an otherwise ordinary instant game. Colormark™ Scientific Games’ Colormark™ system is a colored, rub-off coating that encircles each symbol to be marked. When scratched off, the coating reveals a contrasting color that also encircles the symbols, making it extremely easy for players to see which symbols have been marked and which have not. Players like it because it is easy to use, easy to see, and leaves very little actual rub-off residue. ColorMark is also suited for any extended play games.
