Brand Type ACWU90 2-Conductor for Solar Applications

Solar power plays an important role in meeting long-term energy needs. At General Cable, we know that the success of any solar project is only as good as the conductor used to transmit the solar power to the electrical grid. We offer aluminum conductors that are specifi cally designed to meet the growing demand for renewable energy applications.

Our 2-conductor NUAL ® Brand Type ACWU90 offers exceptional reliability, durability and high performance to the solar marketplace. These conductors are certifi ed for outdoor and other wet applications, including direct burial in the earth.

Product Features:

• Available in 600 V

• Sunlight-resistant cross-linked polyethylene thermoset insulation (XLPE)

• Interlocked aluminum armour eliminates the need for conduit

• Easy to install

• Suitable for direct burial

• 90° C rated: wet and dry

• Rated - 40° C based on cold bend and cold impact testing

• FT4-rated: vertical cable tray test

• Permitted in cable trays

Application:

NUAL ® Brand Type ACWU90 is a fl exible, interlocked aluminum armoured, PVC-jacketed cable. It includes one to four 90° C wetrated, cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulated NUAL ® Brand

ACM conductors and one bare bonding conductor. The PVC jacket makes this cable suitable for direct burial applications, corrosive environments, and non-combustible buildings. The factoryassembled cable eliminates the need for conduit fi ttings and other labour-intensive operations, reducing many ofthe problems and labour costs traditionally associated with conduit wiring methods.

• Run from the combiner box to the inverter

• Suitable for rooftop solar applications

• CSA-certifi ed for open and concealed wiring in both dry and wet

locations and for use in Class I, II & III hazardous locations
