This MANU-SPEC® utilizes the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) Project Resource Manual (PRM),
including MasterFormat™, SectionFormat™ and PageFormat™. A MANU-SPEC is a manufacturer-specific
proprietary product specification using the proprietary method of specifying applicable to project specifications and
master guide specifications. Optional text is indicated by brackets [ ]; delete optional text in final copy of
specification. Specifier Notes typically precede specification text; delete notes in final copy of specification.
Trade/brand names with appropriate symbols typically are used in Specifier Notes; symbols are not used in
specification text. Metric conversion, where used, is soft metric conversion.
This MANU-SPEC specifies a urethane-based, semi-flexible, low-shrinkage, crack-resistant grout for use with tile
and stone. This product is distributed by Bostik, Inc. Revise MANU-SPEC section number and title below to suit
project requirements, specification practices and section content. Refer to CSI MasterFormat™ for other section
numbers and titles.

1.04 ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS
A.
Coordination: Coordinate work of this Section with work of other trades for proper time and sequence to avoid construction
delays. Comply with Section [01 31 00 – Project Management and Coordination].

B.
Preinstallation Meetings: Conduct preinstallation meeting [3 weeks] prior to commencing the work to verify project
requirements, substrate conditions and coordination with other building subtrades, and to review manufacturer’s installation

1.07 WARRANTY

Manufacturer’s Warranty: Submit, for Owner’s acceptance, manufacturer’s standard warranty document executed by

Warranty Period:

Installation System Warranty: To obtain a Bostik System Warranty, TruColor Grout must be used
with Bostik branded (Hydroment or Durabond ) installation products. Please refer to specific
ceramic tile installation warranty literature for duration and details.
Grout Only Warranty: Bostik, Inc. warrants that TruColor Grout will be free from manufacturing
defects and will not break down or deteriorate under normal usage for a period of 2 years
(commercial) and 10 years (residential-original buyer/non-transferable) when applied according to
directions and industry standard guidelines.
