Cm A typical oscillator circuit is shown here, some or all of the components may be within the micro processor. The micro processor data should indicate the required load capacitance to specify the crystal if all the components are inclusive. If external components are required, then effective load capacitance should equal the load specified for the crystal. Used primarily for real time applications and clocking some micro’s in low power mode. The vast range of applications that require such crystals also demand a wide variety of specifications and packages. We still service a good number of customers with through hole parts where cost is the major driver. Most applications though call for an SMD package and we offer an expanding range of SMD package options.
