BUILT-IN SITUATION
The raumplus sliding door and wall partitioning systems are flexible and variable
space dividing systems, made of partitioning wall elements, sliding doors and hinged
doors. They can be as high as the room as
a partitioning wall or, in connection with
sliding doors, as a room divider. A room-inroom solution, independent of the ceiling,
is also possible.
The systems are partly dependent on the
ceiling construction; it is possible to build
a cover track with suspended covers (special
construction). It’s also possible to build
without a ceiling cover. The systems can
also be mounted afterwards.
The use of glass in connection with the filigreed raumplus frame system of aluminum
profiles shows transparency and a feeling
of great space.
New space concepts can be realized without a great deal of construction quickly
and in a low-cost way. For some systems
­s tability certificates can be provided, if
needed.

APPLICATION AREA
The systems can be extended or changed
at any time without great difficulty. Its
construction and the materials used are
­appropriate for individual and design-­
oriented interior construction.

CONSTRUCTION
The raumplus systems are fundamentally
prepared individually according to need and
delivered pre-mounted.
They are self-carrying systems, whereby
the weight of the elements are either
­transferred to the floor or hung on the
ceiling. Room-in-room systems can be
built with a fixed ceiling or wall ­connection
which is free in the room, and support
new concepts for use of space.
Cable channels, door frames in different
dimensions and safety rollers complete the
possibilities.

In addition to our wall partitioning system
S1500, we also offer the wall partitioning
system S1600. This system differs (when
compared with system S1500) through the
use of less profiles in a sleek optic and will
therefore result a optimized use of ­material
when building a partitioning wall.
FIRE AND SOUND PROTECTION
The fire safety class is A according to
DIN 4102 (non-­flammable; this standard
refer to Germany, other standards may exist
in other countries), the noise reduction
for ­partitioning wall solutions is up to
30 dB R W,P in a built-in state. If needed, a
noise-reduction ­certificate can be provided.

The raumplus partitioning walls and sliding
doors are derived from the same system –
resulting in a seamless integration of the
two. Furthermore, uniformity in assembly
and installation ensures minimal installation
efforts. Even when it comes to the panel
design, the fixed panels and doors can be
perfectly coordinated.

Connection clips are an integral part of
our fixed panel system. They allow high
flexibility in design and ease of adjustment
during installation. Connection clips are

wall with a depth of 50 mm (1-track bottom

We have developed two ways to guide our
sliding doors, the bottom rolling system
and the top-hung sliding door »AIR«. Both
systems have distinct advantages. Which
version you want to use depends on the
characteristics of the space itself, but is also
a matter of taste.
2 / 4_ Top-hung sliding door »AIR«_
The »AIR« system is an alternative to
distributing the load to the floor. A
type of sliding door without bottom
tracks (see figure 4_). To preserve the
floor ­s urface, in this system the ceiling
track ­c arries the weight of the ­s liding
door ­(maximum of 60 kg per door).
­F inally, ­invisible ­g uiding hardware is
installed on the floor to prevent the
­s liding door from swinging out. The loadbearing capacity of the ceiling must be
checked on-site. Optionally, the guide rail
can be mounted on the wall or under the
­c eiling.

1 / 3_ Bottom rolling sliding door_ The
top track only serves to guide the door
(see figure 1_), no hanging stress is placed
on the ceiling, which means it can also
be installed on lightweight ceilings. The
weight of the door (maximum of 180 kg per
door) rests on the bottom track or rollers
(see ­figure 3_), which raumplus always
produces to the highest quality standards,
ensuring they always work properly even
under high loads.

All sliding doors are not equal. To give you
maximum freedom of design, we have
developed four sliding door systems with
different designs.
3 / 4_ Frameless sliding doors_ you can
choose from among many options for
this type of sliding door, such as wood or
­honeycomb panel doors:
1_ Sliding door with aluminum frame_
The most flexible sliding door we offer.
In addition to many different profiles and
­colors, we offer an enormous range of
different panels made from the widest
variety of materials; equally, we can include
dividing rails that allow you to change the
panels after installation.
2_ Sliding door with a combination of
aluminum and wood frame_ The sliding
door whose special design exudes a unique
charm. Of course, you can also choose
from a portfolio of panels with this type
of sliding door. Moreover, the frame can
be customized with various decorative and
veneer surfaces. You can also change the
panels using dividing rails.
3_ Wooden door_ it’s enough to send a
designer’s heart into a flurry: a frameless
wood-based structure with embedded
dividing rails and handles and a wide range
of surfaces to choose from
4_ Honeycomb panel door_ frameless
design with milled recessed handles and a
three-dimensional, translucent appearance

The raumplus top track is available as a
standard with 1-, 2- or 3-track. The 1- or
2-track top track is additionally available in two different heights. A better
­a djustment of ­partitioning wall elements
will be achieved with the 60 mm high top
track. Multitrack installations can be
­c arried out as combinations of the abovelisted ­variations. It’s possible to use top
tracks for almost any ceiling. An assumption for this is that the ceiling construction is appropriate, in that it can carry a

rollers, is safety. For strong loads, which

roller. The bottom safety roller prevents

Dividing rails
Glue-on and panel dividing rails are available in the design of sliding door, partitioning wall, folding door and hinged door
­elements with aluminum frame. Glue-on
rails are strictly a design element applied
to the top of a solid panel material. Panel
­dividing rails allow for the use of a combination of different panels in one door.
There are few restrictions in their application or combination.

optionally a handle can be integrated. This
panel dividing rail is also available for the
S800 hinged door system – for this application without a handle.
