PERI Folding Platform FB 180-3
Quick and easy to set up, only 2 platforms required
for each structure
PERI FB 180-3 folding platform, the
lightweight and completely pre-assembled platform system for concrete construction.
With the FB 180 system, even complicated ground plans can be scaffolded
with a minimum of effort. System components are also available for internal
and external corners. The corner platform can be used for both left and right
sides.

the retractable crane eye
and then hoist.

The non-slip platform decking is made
of multiple-layered bonded sheeting

Securely connected with the individual
bracket to form a moving unit, the intermediate platform is used as an internal
corner. The removable handrails of the
intermediate platform allow free access
to the internal corner.

The Corner Frame FBE transforms
every folding platform into a universally used corner platform; can be
used on both the left and right sides.
The Folding Corner Platform FEB is
mounted together with the Corner
Frame and is delivered as one unit.
Furthermore, this means that the frequency of use as well as the cost-effectiveness of the folding platform is
increased, then:

With only a couple of steps, the
FB 180-3 is converted to roof edge
protection scaffold.
– The Handrail Extension FB is simply
inserted into the tube of the Handrail
Frame as far as it can go.
– The coupling for fixing the top horizontal scaffold tube with the attached
Protection Net is securely connected
with the Handrail Extension.
– The 2 m high Protection Net is installed in manageable 6 m lengths.
This means that the side protection
can comfortably carried out from the
folding platform.

The support extension allows the
use of the folding platform without
any complicated support measures
of the bracket base point - the pressure point is adaptable to the height
of the storey.
– With the Support Extension 300 and
the Compression Strut, storey heights
up to 4.50 m can be bridged.

– The Support Extension is only suspended and therefore pivots to a safe
position.
– The load-bearing capacity of the folding platform is fully maintained even
with the use of the suport extension.

be bridged with horizontally placed
timbers or steel walers.
In addition, a finishing platform can
also be attached to the the support
extension. From this safe working
position, all required finishing work
is carried out.

The handrail of the finishing platform is
also foldable. The advantages are less
space requirements during transport
and storage as well as faster assembly
and dismantling.
The robust multilayer boarding also ensures safe working conditions and a
long service life for the finishing platform.
The pressure point of

300 FB is adjustable in
10 cm steps.

supporting the formwork to the outside
has proved to be an
advantage.
As formwork scaffold
If the folding platform is used as
formwork scaffold, higher loads have
to be carried. Even at great heights,
work equipment and materials must
be available.
Formwork up to 5.40 m high has been
taken into consideration in the Assembly Instructions for standard configuration.
With the tension bracing, external wind forces are reliably transferred.
For reinforcement work done from the
outside, a service load of 300 kg/m² is
available. This is more than half a tonne
per linear metre of scaffold. For special
applications, this can even be raised to
450 kg/m².
This also allows the setting up of reinforcement scaffolding, e.g. PERI UP.
The formwork is supported using pushpull props. The base plates are fixed to
the multi-purpose connector of the folding platform.

Anchor points and suspension
Less anchor points with the
PERI Folding Platform 180-3
Whether using a Mounting Head or Loop
Mounting Head, the maximum anchor
spacing of 2.50 m considerably reduces
the work involved for the anchor points
compared to the standard spacing of
1.50 m for individual brackets with planking.
This results in 40% less labour costs and
material requirements for anchor points.

as formwork or working scaffold.

the Folding Platform can be used for
applications with up to 450 kg/m².
Formwork up to 5.40 m high can assembled on it.

Hinge FB which is mounted beforehand, lateral dimensional tolerances of
± 2,5 cm are adjusted. This means the
anchor points can also be moved with a
high degree of reinforcement.

Detailed practical solutions, storage and transport
45 mm thick platform decking
made of bonded multilayered
plywood boarding.
Detailed practical solutions
PERI folding platforms offer more
than just safety with system components.
The handrail frames of the main platform have integrated nail holes. Conventionally closed compensation areas
can therefore be easily secured with
handrail planks.
Higher handrails made of scaffold tubes
and couplers can be fixed to the handrail posts of the brackets and Handrail
Post FBP.
The end-to-end 45 mm thick platform
decking is made of bonded multilayered
plywood boarding with rounded corners
and edges, and is non-slip, high loadbearing and robust. Compared to individual planks, it is less susceptible to
damage.
All safety components are marked red
and permanently attached.
Easy and simple connection of
scaffold tubes ø 48.3 mm by
means of the Swivel Coupling DK 1.

Nail holes in the handrail frame

planks.
The Handrail Post FBP for supporting
the handrail planks (supplied by the
contractor) is screwed in the MultiPurpose Connector (DW 15).
Storage and transport
With only 27 cm effective stacking
height, PERI folding platforms require a
minimum of space during transport, on
the construction site or building yard.
Due to the externally-positioned crane
eyes, stacks containing up to 10 folding
platforms can be attached at any one
time.
Due to its 2.40 m width, the Intermediate Platform FBZ can be
loaded crosswise thus saving on
space. The stacking height is only
9 cm.

Folding corner platforms can be
immediately recognised in stacks
because the corner frames are
marked red. The space-saving
stacking dimensions remain unchanged.
On a truck loading area of 2.50 x
5.00 m, up to 45 linear metres of
platfoms can be loaded. With 9
folding platforms stacked on top
of each other, the permissible
height loading dimensions can be
fully utilised.
