2017/2018 RPNS PROGRAM INFORMATION AND POLICIES
2 Year-Old Program:
• There is an option to attend two, three or four days a week in the AM or PM.
• There are nine children per class. Each class is taught by two co-teachers.
• Each class meets for 2.5 hours. 3 Year-Old Program:
• There is an option to attend three, four or five days a week in the AM or PM.
• There are 13 children per class. Each class is taught by two co-teachers.
• Each class meets for 2.5 hours
Pre-Kindergarten Program:
• All 4s and 5s classes meet Monday through Friday.
• 4s class size: 13 children in smaller classrooms or 17 children in larger classrooms.
• Each class is taught by two co-teachers.
• The AM 5s have three co-teachers and 21 children. Arrival is at 8:45am. Dismissal is from 11:35-11:45am.
Class Placement
• Our morning and afternoon programs have parallel goals and activities at their respective age levels.
The same team teaches both the AM and PM classes.
• All current students, returning families and church members are guaranteed enrollment for the next year.
• Students who are currently enrolled in a particular session (AM or PM) will have the first opportunity to
enroll in that session for the next year. Placement for any remaining openings in the AM or PM will be
determined based on educational needs and the number of years a family has had children attend RPNS
(one point per year each child has attended).
• New church members and younger siblings of returning families should register November 14, 2016 through November 16, 2016, prior to registration for new families.
Tuition
• The tuition payment schedule for the 2017/2018 school year is: March 1, June 1, and September 1.
• A non-refundable deposit of 1/4 of the total tuition will be due upon signing the contracts and will be
applied toward tuition. Contracts will be sent with notification of admission and class placement. Deposit checks will not be accepted without a signed contract.
• Tuition for current students must be paid in full or all monthly payments must be made through
November, before registration for the 2017/2018 school year is accepted.
• Monthly payments may be arranged through Mary Canneto, Business Manager (914-967-2073).
• Late tuition payments are subject to a $35 late fee, assessed monthly.
Withdrawal Policy
Notice of withdrawal must be received in writing to the Director, no later than June 1, 2017 in order to be eligible
to receive a refund of the March 1 payment. Refunds are contingent on your child’s spot being filled.
Scholarships
Partial scholarships are available in varying amounts based on need. Examples of need include: changes in
employment or financial status, unexpected medical expenses or multiple tuitions. Applicants are kept
confidential. Recipients are determined by the Board’s Scholarship Committee. Please contact the Co-Directors
for a scholarship application. All applications must be completed and returned by March 1 for consideration.
