Mueller, 22, of Carlinville has been charged with aggravated battery in connection with a June 27 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly kicked an officer with the Carlinville Police Department in the leg. White, 47, of Columbia, Mo. has been charged with failure to register as a sex offender in connection with a July 29 incident in which the defendant failed to register with the chief of police of Staunton within three days of establishing residency. Michael L. Stainback, 20, of Royal Lakes has been charged with burglary in connection with a June 3 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly entered a building in the 200 block of Julian Avenue in Royal Lakes. Ronald S. Bick, 52, of Godfrey has been charged with driving while license revoked in connection with a July 7 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly drove a 1993 Chevrolet on Beaver Dam Lane. Samantha J. Higgins, 29, of Girard has been charged with methamphetamine possession in connection with a July 22 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly possessed less than five grams of methamphetamine. William J. Kampswerth, 31, of Carlinville has been charged with unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle in connection with a July 24 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly possessed a 2004 Ford Taurus. The defendant also was issued a citation for driving on a revoked license at 11:32 p.m. while in the vicinity of Macoupin and Pine streets in Gillespie. Darrell W. Goodwin, 58, of Carlinville has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance in connection with an April 26 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly possessed less than 15 grams of a substance containing morphine, a controlled substance. Downs, 23, of Girard has been charged with aggravated battery in connection with a July 26 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly grabbed an individual and held them with their arms while at the Girard village square. Misdemeanors Samantha J. Higgins, 29, of Girard has been charged with theft in connection with a July 15 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly took less than $500 in cash. Jeremy L. Cashen, 47, of Nilwood has been charged with domestic battery and resisting a peace officer in connection with a July 27 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly caused bodily harm in that he struck an individual in the face, knocking two teeth out and also resisting the performance of a Macoupin County Sheriff’s Department deputy in that he refused verbal commands and pulled away from the deputy’s grasp. Stainback, 20, of Royal Lakes has been charged with attempted theft in connection with a July 8 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly attempted to obtain control over stolen property, a Whirlpool window unit air conditioner, valued at less than $500. Olive has been charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor in connection with a July 26 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly consumed alcohol while in the vicinity of Old Route 66 northbound at St. John Road at approximately 11:30 a.m. Michael R. Johnson, 19, of Livingston has been charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol in connection with a July 28 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly consumed alcohol at approximately 10:17 p.m. while in the vicinity of Walnut and Montgomery streets in Gillespie. The defendant also was issued a citation for pedestrian under the influence. Eric Stainback, 43, of Royal Lakes has been charged with theft in connection with a June 23 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly took brass valued at less than $500. Hernando C. Walker, 41, of Royal Lakes has been charged with theft in connection with a June 23 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly took brass valued at less than $500. James T. Bertagnolli, 23, of Gillespie has been charged with unlawful possession of cannabis in connection with a July 4 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly had not more than 2.5 grams of a substance containing cannabis, a controlled substance. DUIs Ryan M. Barr, 21, of Jacksonville has been charged with driving under the influence in connection with a July 25 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly drove a 2005 silver Chevrolet northbound on I-55 in the vicinity of milemarker 45 in Cahokia Township at approximately 10:33 p.m. The defendant also was issued citations for improper traffic lane usage, improper turn signal, following too closely, driving on a suspended license and speeding 15-20 mph above the posted speed limit as he was clocked traveling 88 in a 70 mph. Wilkins, 53, of Girard has been charged with driving under the influence in connection with a July 25 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly drove a 1993 blue GMC in the vicinity of North and Harrison streets in Girard at approximately 9 p.m. Kyle E. Kuhnline, 30, of Greenfield has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence in connection with a July 26 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly drove a 2009 white Pontiac G-5 in the vicinity of North Main and Virginia streets at approximately 3:41 a.m. The defendant also was issued a citation for improper traffic lane usage. Mateer, 44, of Plainview has been charged with driving under the influence in connection with a July 30 incident in which the defendant allegedly knowingly drove a 1993 white Ford in the vicinity of Route 111 and White Cattle Road at approximately 12:35 a.m. The defendant also was issued citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lighting with just one operable headlight. crimes & accidents Accidents Lacey M. Crays, 34, of Carlinville and Marvin S. Brown, 41, of Roxana were involved in a two-vehicle accident July 16 at the intersection of South Franklin and East Warren streets in Bunker Hill at approximately 7:41 p.m. Brown, driving a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria, was stopped at the stop sign posted at the intersection. Crays, driving a 2000 Dodge Dakota, approached Brown’s vehicle from behind. Crays struck Brown, causing minor damage to both vehicles. Brown claims she was blinded by the sun.
