Getting Started – “Raising the Score” Checklist
Upon first logging in to Method Test Prep, one will see the weekly checklist:
Each task has an
approximate time
assigned to inform
the user about how
long it will take to
complete.
Each week there are
several tasks
assigned; simply click
on the task to begin
working.
 Each week has about 4 tasks assigned
 Each task takes no longer than approximately 25 min
 The checklist totals 20 weeks in length
2
As tasks are completed, a
green check mark will
appear next to the task
and the task completion
bar will change at the top
to notify what percent of
the checklist has been
completed.
*By following the checklist, all evaluations, lessons/quizzes, and the different
sections of the full-length timed tests will be covered
*The 20 weeks is a suggested timeline for preparation – the checklist can be
completed in less than or more than the 20 weeks depending on time allotted
for preparation prior to taking official test

to see the packet.
*These documents should be used as a review guide just prior to testing; these should not
be used in lieu of the online preparation work

Evaluation Tests
Evaluation Tests consist of about 15 questions which cover a range of concepts seen in a
particular subject of the SAT/ACT; the results at the end will show how many questions
were correct as well as the approximate score a student would receive on that section if

has spent working on a question;
the timer will turn red when the
student has exceeded the time
allotted to answer the question –
this is to help with pacing.
After each question,
immediate feedback is
provided
Explanation of answer
can be reviewed in one
of three ways: 1. video;
2. audio; and 3. written
*Remember: the questions are meant to be difficult. Students need to
understand that questions will be answered incorrectly; the important
thing is to read, listen to, and watch the explanations so students do not
keep making the same mistakes.
14
At the end of the quiz, a
score will be provided
View Results will show every
question along with explanation of
correct answer

Vocab Builder
The Vocabulary Builder presents students with a continuous stream of words in which
students must select the correct definition. As students work through the vocab quiz,
words will either be entered into the words mastered or words missed lists – to get in the
words mastered list, a student must select the correct definition for a word at least twice;
when a word is missed the first time, it automatically appears in the words missed list.
A word is presented and
the student must identify
the correct definition
16
Students can select go to

continue with the vocab
quiz or view words
