> DALSA Xcelera Series ACQUISITION DIGITAL/ANALOGUE > CAMERALINK/LVDS/ANALOGUE on PCIe > Advanced high-end image acquisition The DALSA Xcelera frame grabbers are specially designed for highend applications. The boards are both connector and software compatible with the X64 series and are based on the PCI Express x4 interface. The internal architecture and the driver support 32- and 64-bit and is thus prepared for the next generation of operating systems. Extensive on-board processing such as tap sorting, look-up tables, Bayer conversion, flat field/flat line correction as well as dead pixel replacement are integrated, depending on the model. External control and event synchronisation has also been taken into consideration. The boards are equipped with triggers, strobes, encoder connections, digital I/Os, status LEDs und power supply. The boards take full advantage of DALSA's "Trigger-to-Image Reliability" framework. This technology allows you to control, monitor and correct the image acquisition process from the time that an external trigger event occurs to the moment the data is sent to the host, providing traceability when errors do occur and permitting recovery from these errors. All of the frame grabbers in the Xcelera series are supported by DALSA's Sapera LT software library and by Common Vision Blox and offer the user a variety of examples in different programming languages. An easy integration into customer specific applications is possible without loosing flexibility. The frame grabbers are available for CameraLink, LVDS and analogue image sources. The portfolio includes a cost-effective entry model with CameraLink Base and PCIe x1-interface, as well as a CameraLink Full high-end model offering different sophisticated pre-processing functions that can be loaded into the FPGA of the frame grabber. The LVDS model supports LVDS image sources up to 80 MHz pixel clock. Using the frame grabber Xcelera Analog Quad up to 4 analogue non-standard video monochrome cameras can be captured asynchronously with a pixel rate of up to 40MHz. The models of the Xcelera series are ideally suited for all applications requiring fast, reliable transfer rates and a high data security.
