A member of Quality Assurance (Entry Level) Industry: Specialty Chemicals & Nutraceutical Ingredients Distributor-Manufacturer/Supply Chain Mgmt Job Location: Bridgeport, Connecticut Job Status: Full-time Permanent Position Quality Assurance has the responsibility to establish and maintain quality control, quality standards, inspection, test methods and procedures for controlling and maintaining the desired level of product quality for the company. S/he is responsible for writing and implementing the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining compliance with Dietary Supplement Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMPs) Rule 21 CFR Part 111 to assure the quality and quantity of product produced. Responsibilities include: Quality Manage standard operating procedures for all stages in manufacturing, in accordance with current good manufacturing practice principles o Recommend, write and implement standard operating procedures and revisions o Review and update standard operating procedures on an ongoing basis o Conduct ongoing training and re-training of employees o Maintain employee training curricula and documents Documentation o Ensure that current versions are employed o Supervise record retention o Establish change control procedures Supplier qualification o Manage supplier qualification program New manufacturer- new product qualification- Manage new manufacturer and new product review program o Maintain new product and new manufacturer logs o Save manufacturer’s documents/ certifications/ completed qualification questionnaires o Upon completion of evaluation, document results and present for review o Inform personnel of status o Compose new manufacturer notification letter to be forwarded to customers Raw material qualification o Create and update product testing schedule o Schedule and manage sample collection protocol for testing Complaints o Investigate and prepare comprehensive responses o Devise and implement corrective actions o Correspond with manufacturers regarding quality issues with raw materials o Track and document quality complaints AnMar International, Ltd. 540 Barnum Avenue PO Box 2343 Bridgeport, Connecticut 06608 USA Phone: Fax: Web: 203.336.8330 203.336.5508 www.anmarinternational.com A member of Update job knowledge by studying trends and developments in quality management Participate in educational opportunities and professional organizations Stay current with industry standards and expectations Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests Manufacturing Record incoming purchase orders for AnMar products on production schedule Issue production batch records Ensure timely availability of raw materials for production Review batch record for completion Audits On-site audits, audit reports, audit follow-upso Testing laboratories o Warehouse facilities Train warehouse personnel on AnMar procedures Manage internal audit program o Document corrective actions, train personnel and retain records Prepare responses to customer audits Handle customers’ vendor qualification questionnaires Technical Prepare certificates of analysis for AnMar products Handle customers’ technical inquiries JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in related field of study. Certified Quality Engineer and/or work experience in a manufacturing environment a plus. This position requires someone that is highly organized and possesses strong written and verbal communication skills. Communicates information professionally and follows up in a clear and timely manner. Excellent attention to detail, analytical, organizational and time management skills. S/he should have good interpersonal skills and a passion for providing excellent service. Positive, energetic and enthusiastic attitude, proactive, responsible, results driven, problem/solution oriented, flexible to the needs of the business. Strong computer skills (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), experience in IFS and GroupWise a plus. Multi-lingual such as Chinese would be an asset. The position is currently based in our Bridgeport facility. The facility will be relocated in Spring, 2016 to Trumbull, Connecticut.
