1. Ensure the power to the receptacle is OFF at the main panel. At the service panel
switch off the breaker or remove the fuse associated with the receptacle.
2a. Wiring procedure for a single receptacle:
• Connect the white wire to the neutral terminal (labeled WHITE). Tighten silver screw.
• Connect the black wire to the hot terminal (labeled BLACK). Tighten brass screw.
• Connect the bare wire or green cable to the ground terminal (green screw) by wrapping
the exposed copper wire clockwise around the ground terminal. Tighten green screw.
2b. Wiring procedure for a series of receptacles:
• In addition to the steps above, connect the additional set of neutral and hot wires to the
2nd set of terminals on the back of the Power Port. Tighten screws.
3. Screw the receptacle to the box and re-attach the faceplate.

wire approximately 0.6 in (13.5mm). Ensure the
terminal screw is loosened and insert stripped

• The Classic Power Port (grey color) is an
isolated ground device. If installed into a metal
junction box with no ground wire it must be
grounded for safety.
• Do not use aluminium wires to connect the
Power Port.
