Pods 2 – Red L.E.D. License Plate Light Bolts 1 – Distribution Block 1 – On / Off Switch All necessary mounting hardware and installation instruction INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR L.E.D. STRIPS AND L.E.D. PODS INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR L.E.D. LICENSE PLATE LIGHT BOLTS 1. All mounting surface must be clean and free of all dirt, wax, and oil prior to the installation. Wipe all areas with the alcohol prep pad provided and let dry thoroughly. 1. Each L.E.D. License Plate Light Bolt contains 2 wires; a BLACK WITH WHITE STRIPE, the positive (+) wire and a BLACK negative (-) wire. 2. Choose a location to mount the L.E.D. Strips. Installations on flat and rigid surfaces, such as frame rails, gas tanks, under saddle bags produce the best results 2. Twist connect the two (+) positive BLACK WITH WHITE STRIPE wires to each other and connect to a positive terminal port numbered 1 through 4 on the back of the distribution block. 3. Choose location to mount the L.E.D. Pods. L.E.D. Pods accent other bike parts and are best installed where the light will reflect to highlight the engine (but not attached to the engine itself ), fairings, etc. 4. Secure the Red L.E.D. License Plate Light Bolts to the license plate bracket. DO NOT over tighten as over tightening may cause bolt to crack. OPTIONAL: A different wiring process will illuminate the LED License Plate Light Bolts simultaneously with the motorcycle’s brake or tail light, WIRING CONNECTIONS Brake Light: Using a test light, find the power (+) wire of the brake light circuit. Splice the 2 (+) positive black with white stripe wires from the L.E.D. License Plate Light Bolts to this wire. Follow the same procedures for the 2 black (-) negative wires connecting to the ground wire of the motorcycle brake light harness or to a chassis ground. 1. Choose a location to mount the on/off switch that provides easy accessibility to the motorcycle’s battery. Mount the on/off switch by drilling a ¼” hole in the location that you have chosen to mount the switch. 2. Choose a location to mount the distribution block preferably under the seat and accessible to the on/off switch. Mount the distribution block using double face 3m tape(provided). 3. Connect the RED wire from the on/off switch to the (+) 12V positive side of the battery using a ring terminal provided in the hardware kit. WARNING! Broken Glass, Labor and transportation are not covered regardless. 2. Warranty is valid for 2 years from date of purchase. 3. Proof of purchase is required to validate warranty. 4. All warranty claims are to be handled by selling agents. 5. Accident, abuse, neglect, improper installation, not used for its intended purpose are not covered. This warranty is limited to replacing the defective part without charge. The company in no event shall be held responsible for any consequential or special damages. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have rights which vary from state to state. 3. Twist connect the two (-) negative BLACK wires to each other and connect to a negative terminal port numbered 1 through 4 on the back of the distribution block. 4. Connect the BLACK WITH WHITE STRIPE wire from the distribution block to the YELLOW wire from the on/off switch using a butt connector, provided in the hardware kit. 5. Connect the BLACK wire from the distribution block (-) ground to the negative battery terminal using a ring terminal provided in the hardware kit. 6. Each L.E.D. Strip and L.E.D. Pod has a BLACK WITH WHITE STRIPE wire and a BLACK wire. Run all wires from the locations of the L.E.D. Strips and L.E.D. Pods to the distribution block. Connect the BLACK WITH WHITE STRIPE (+) positive wires to positive terminal ports numbered 1 through 4 on the back of the distribution block. Repeat this procedure for each of the BLACK (-) negative wires to negative terminal ports numbered 1 through 4 on the back of the distribution block. Tail Light: Using a test light, find the power (+) wire of the tail light circuit. Splice the 2 (+) positive black with white stripe wires from the L.E.D. Light Bolts to this wire. Follow the same procedures for the 2 black (-) negative wires connecting to the ground wire of the motorcycle tail light harness or to a chassis ground. NOTE 1: Use electrical tape (not supplied) to ensure a proper weather tight connection. NOTE 2: When routing the wires, keep them away from all moving parts and areas of extreme heat (particularly exhaust system components).
