for data transformation, CA Spool has upgraded the release of the
software from OpenText, the CA Spool Java Transformer vendor, from
v5.1.nn to V5.2.nn.

ADD MORE WILDCARD OPTIONS FOR SHADEMAP
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Additional functionality has been added for SHADEMAP in the Java transformers
project file. Wildcards allow all patterns using a specific color to be
mapped to a color command more easily.
For example:
<shadeMap xifShadePatternMappingKey="..*.0_0_0"
colorCmd="1 0 1 rg"/>
First match will be used if there are multiple shadeMap defined and
matched. If none of shade maps matches, defaultMappingColorCmd will be
used. If defaultMappingColorCmd is not defined, pattern will be unmapped.
SYMPTOMS:
Unmapped shade patterns cause undesired shaded areas.
IMPACT:
Shaded areas may have the wrong color.

ADD NEW SOURCE FONT PARAMETER FOR JAVA A2PD
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A new parameter has been added for the Java Transformers for the PDF
generator. This parameter controls whether the name of the source font
is added to the PDF document properties.
For example:
FontNaming="SOURCE">
For dynamically generated PDF fonts like Type3 and CFF, setting this
paramter to SOURCE provides the font name from which the output font
was dynamically generated. This can be found on the
File->Properties->Fonts display within the PDF output file.
SYMPTOMS:
When debugging new PDF documents it is not possible to determine the
source font that was used to generate the text within the file.
IMPACT:
Document designers find it more difficult to correct problems when
unexpected fonts are used.

ADD JAVA TRANSFORMER PARAMETER FOR MISSING RESOURCES
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A new parameter has been added for the Java Transformers to control what
happens when a missing AFP resource condition occurs.
For example:
unresolvedResourceOption="WarnOnly"
The valid values and actions are as follows:
- WarnOnly: Continue and write a warning message in the transformation
report. Output is generated, if possible, but the result may not be as
expected. The return Code is 4.
- ErrorOnly: Continue and write an error message in the transformation
report. Output is generated, if possible, but the result may not be as
expected. The return code is 8.
- FatalError: Stop and write an error message in the transformation
report. Output is not generated. The return code is 8 or higher.
SYMPTOMS:
Missing resource conditions are treated as warnings.
IMPACT:
Reports may not render as expected due to a missing resource that
is critical to the transformation process. It may be preferable
to treat this as an error condition.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A new parameter has been added for the Java Transformers to control
how the Metacode parser handles the Metacode COPIES command specified
in JSL or on a DJDE statement.
CopiesToProcess="n" where n is a number from 0 to 100.
SYMPTOMS:
When COPIES is set to a value higher than 1, only 1 copy is rendered
in the output file generated by the Metacode transformers.
IMPACT:
Incomplete files are received by the end user.

TAR backup file delivered by this PTF.
IMPORTANT: All of the USS directories and files that comprise the CA
Spool Java Transformers are replaced by this process. If you have
customized any files without changing the names of those files from
the original names, save them to a separate directory before running
the BQ4JJTAR job. Then copy the customized files back to the target
directory after BQ4JJTAR is executed. Customization will be lost if
steps are not taken to preserve files that have been changed since the
initial install. In most cases, customized files would be parameter
files stored in the /usr/lpp/caspoold2e/xenos/apps directory.

Update CAIQENVA member in CAI.CE0CPARM to use the latest
Java Transformers engine build delivered by this PTF.

Metacode files containing the instruction "Invert" were not supported
before this release. The "Invert" instruction can now be used in input data
to orient the page 180 degrees.
SYMPTOMS:

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Warning messages are issued for resources that are not missing when
transforming AFP data using the Java transformers.
SYMPTOMS:
Warning ResolveResourceFailedWarning(AfpParser) failed to load resource
type=XifForm, name=O1A234, because following errors: Error happened
when trying to create O1A234 object, no resource object has been created!
The transformation return code is set to 4 even though O1A234 exists and
is used in the transformation.
IMPACT:
Unnecessary investigation to determine why the RC=4 occurred.
