DC-DC Converter Installation Of DC-DC Converters ◦ Install Converters where they are exposed to ambient air (the cooler the better). Do not install in a small enclosed area unless it is well cooled. If possible fasten to a metal surface this will act as a heat sink to cool the converters. The converters will operate in ambient temperatures up to 85F. ◦ The converters will automatically shut themselves down if they over heat. If they do over heat remove power and let cool then reapply power. ◦ The Input and Output connections are listed on a label on the back of the converters ▪ Please check the Input voltage and insure it matches the input power. ▪ Please check the Output voltage and insure it matches the light requirements. • Currently all lights run on 24V input. If this changes the new voltage will be listed on a label on the light. The current lights do not have a label. Note: 24V Battery systems put out 24-30V. Do NOT connect the Light directly to a 24V Battery.
