MATERIALS
Door Reinforcements:
Uncoated Steel Sheet: Cold rolled commercial steel
sheet complying with ASTM A 366/A 366M.
Galvannealed Steel Sheet: ASTM A 653/A 653M,
commercial quality, hot-dipped.
Coating Thickness: A40 coating - Embossed Panel Doors.
A60 coating.
DOOR CONSTRUCTION
Doors: Full flush (No Vertical Face Seams), complying with
ANSI A250.8; face panels laminated to core.
Thickness: 1-3/4 inches (44 mm).
ANSI Level 1, Model 1; 20 gage (0.8 mm) faces, visible
edge seams.
ANSI Level 1, Model 2; 20 gage (0.8 mm) faces, no
visible edge seams.
ANSI Level 2, Model 1; 18 gage (1.0 mm) faces, visible
edge seams.
ANSI Level 2, Model 2; 18 gage (1.0 mm) faces, no
visible edge seams.
Faces: Full flush. Embossed in 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 or crossbuck panel design laminated to a polystyrene core
Top and Bottom Channels: 16 gage steel, projection welded
to both face sheets at a maximum of 2-1/2 inched (64
mm) on center.
Hinge Reinforcement:
DP Series: 1-3/4 inch (44 mm) thick. 7 gage universal
standard/heavy weight hinge reinforcements.
Lock Reinforcement:
DP Series: Beveled edge reinforcements in
accordance with ANSI A115 standards.
Closer Reinforcement: 14 gage box type reinforcement, 18
inches (457 mm) long.
Fire Rated Doors: Ratings as indicated on Door Schedule,
when tested in accordance with NFPA 252 or UL 10B.
Labeled by UL or WH up to 3 Hrs.
Acoustical Doors: Sound Transmission Classification (STC)
Rating of 38 when tested according to ASTM C1363.

FACTORY FINISH
Face Material: Cold Roll Steel sheet.
Galvannealed steel sheet.
Galvanized steel sheet.
All doors, frames, and stick components shall be cleaned
and finished in accordance with ANSI A250.10, “Test
Procedure and Acceptance Criteria for Prime Painted
Steel Surfaces for Steel Doors and Frames”.
Insulated Doors: Insulated; U-value of 0.41, polystyrene
core (per ASTM C1363).
Preparation: Clean and phosphatize surfaces of steel doors
and frames.
Core: Doors fabricated by laminating panels to a specified
core. Core shall be as follows: 3/4 inch (19 mm) cell
honeycomb core. Expanded polystyrene core.
Primer: Apply one coat of a gray, alkyd acrylic enamel
primer, forced cured.
Beveled Doors: Bevel lock edge of door 1/8 inch in 2 inches
(3 mm in 50 mm).
Finish: Paint with alkyd acrylic enamel using a two-coat
process, with each coat being force cured after each
coating.
Finish: Factory prime finish.
Factory finish paint. Optional
