1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 Product Description.
o Vector is a highly efficient, roadway luminaire and is designed for offset highway lighting applications.
o Vector is designed for ease of maintenance. Quick-release latches and a removable door assembly permit quick access to internal components for servicing. The electrical ballast assembly and lamp may be replaced in the field without requiring the use of tools.
o The Vector luminaire is configured at the factory with a knuckle fitter or a yoke for the purpose of mounting. Follow the appropriate set of instructions to mount the luminaire.

2.2.3.2
Loosen socket screws.
2.2.3.3
Slide socket to correct location. Align both screw heads with desired letter and corresponding dash. See Figure 3. Tighten socket screws to 25 in. lbs. maximum.
2.2.3.4 Reinstall socket mounting bracket.
2.2.3.5 Orient socket mounting bracket with "TOP" toward hinge side of door. Set ridge of lower tabs on edge of the bracket.
2.2.3.6 Rotate upper tabs into position. Verify that all four tabs are snapped into position.
2.2.4
Reinstall reflector. Install correct wattage and type lamp.
2.2.5 Slide off the cover to the wiring chamber to gain access to the terminal block inside. See Figure 5. Route the supply wire through the fitter assembly into the wiring chamber area until an adequate amount of wire is available to complete electrical connections to the terminal block. Complete the electrical connections to the terminal block per Figure 6 and replace the wiring chamber cover.
2.2.6
Slip the fitter over the post top until fully seated and rotate the fixture to the desired direction. Secure by evenly tightening the four (4) set screws in the fitter to 16 ft. lbs.
2.2.7
Adjusting tilt angle. Refer to plans and specifications for tilt angles.
Figure 7 2.3.3 Using a suitable flexible watertight cord, route the supply wire through the cord grip into the wiring chamber area until an adequate amount of wire is available to complete electrical connections. Tighten the cord grip. See Figure 5. Complete the electrical connections to the terminal block per Figure 6 and replace the wiring chamber cover.
2.3.4
Adjusting tilt angle. Refer to plans and specifications for tilt angles.
CAUTION
MAKE CERTAIN TO SUPPORT THE FIXTURE DURING THIS
PROCEDURE TO PREVENT ANY SUDDEN ROTATIONS DUE TO THE
WEIGHT OF THE FIXTURE.
2.2.7.1 Tilt angle on knuckle fitter may be modified by gradually loosening the fitter center bolt until the fixture may be rotated about the tilt axis. See Figure 7.
2.2.7.2
Once the desire tilt angle has been obtained, the center bolt must be retighten to 16 ft. lbs. to lock the fitter in the desired position. See Figure 7.

WEIGHT OF THE FIXTURE.
2.3.4.1
Tilt angle on yoke may be modified by gradually loosening the 1/2 yoke bolts to the housing until the fixture may be rotated about the tilt axis. See Figure 9.
2.3.4.2
Once the desire tilt angle has been obtained, these 1/2 yoke bolts must be retighten to 50 to 60 ft. lbs. to lock the fixture in the desired position. See Figure 9.

2.3 Yoke Mounting Installation.
2.3.1
Mount the yoke to suitable mounting structure by means of the mounting holes provided. For pole mount, use Holophane mounting adaptor as shown in Figure 8. Bolt the yoke to the mounting structure using either two 3/8" bolts or one 1/2" grade 5 bolt. Tighten bolts securely (30-35 ft.lbs. for 3/8" bolts or 50-60 ft.lbs. for 1/2" bolt). These bolts are not provided.

2.4 Electrical Assembly Installation.
The Vector luminaire is designed to accept a removable electrical assembly. To install this electrical assembly, follow the instructions below:
2.4.1 Verify that the electrical cross-reference label for the electrical assembly is in agreement with the nameplate label provided on the housing assembly.
2.4.2 Determine if the electrical assembly has been provided with a multi-volt ballast. If so, connect correct ballast voltage lead to the black lead from the white plug and use a wire nut to make connection.
2.4.3
Remove the door assembly and the reflector from the housing assembly, and confirm that power to the supply line is disconnected.
2.4.4
Install the electrical assembly into the housing assembly by placing the lower edge of the electrical assembly plate between the retaining clips and the backstops inside the housing. Pivot the assembly back toward the rear of the housing until the 1/4 turn fastener can be engaged into its mating receptacle. Turn the fastener 1/4 turn clockwise to the fully locked position.
See Figure 10.
