ASSEMBLE WITH CARE! To protect this finish during assembly, place unwrapped powdercoated parts on packaging foam or other non‐marring surface. Do not place or slide powdercoated parts on concrete or other hard or textured surface – this will damage the finish causing rust to occur. Use touch‐up paint on any gouges in the finish caused by assembly tools.
Landscape Forms is not responsible for site preparation and footings. Refer to the installation guide for the Signal light anchor kit for installing the anchor bolts.
Signal 32 luminaire
WARNING! Pole mounted luminaires must be attached either before or immediately after pole installation. Failure to do so may cause vibration damage to the pole and will void the pole warranty.

Installation Guide
ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:
*refer to the Signal Anchor kit installation guide for setting the pole anchors. Concrete should be fully cured before installing the pole.*
BASIC INSTALLATION STEPS:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
Attach line hook‐up wires to driver.
Attach luminaire wires to driver wires.
Install luminaires.
Install driver plate assembly.
Install top cap or finial.
Install pole assembly onto previously installed anchors.
To install cool splice connector:
1. See Fig. 10. Insert unstripped line and neutral wires into the holes on one end of the cool splice connector. Make sure wires extend all the way to the middle of the connector for proper function.
2. Once both wires on one side are fully inserted, press in the blue button on that side of the connector. This can be done with pliers. Once the top of the blue button is flush with the rest of the connector, the process is complete.
3. Repeat for the other side of the connector, aligning the same wire color across the connector.
PROCEDURE FOR WIRING SIGNAL LED LUMINAIRES:
The wiring schematics are to be used to connect the unit to line voltage. It is the responsibility of the installer to make sure that all connections are made in accordance with the NEC and local building codes. Connection hardware not included. Signal 24 luminaires have 18 modules and are connected to 50W drivers. Signal 32 luminaires have 24 modules and are connected to 96W drivers.
The driver output wires are connected to the luminaire wires using a permanent cool splice connector. This is a one‐time use device, so make sure the wires are routed properly before installing the connector. See Fig. 10.
Install the shorting cap to test the light:
Units that have a twist lock receptacle installed must have a shorting cap (included) installed in order to test the light. Alternatively, a photo control (not included) could be installed and the eye portion covered to activate the luminaire.
Hook up to power source:
Connect the line voltage wires at the bottom of the pole. Refer to wiring diagrams for incoming power supply requirements.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Route the line voltage wires (provided by others) up the pole and through the grommet at the bottom of the driver plate assembly. See Fig. 5.
2. Connect the wires to the driver plate terminal block as shown in Fig. 8.
3. For luminaires that are mounted at the top of the pole, route the wires from the luminaire through the raceway of the mount bracket on the pole and pull the wires out of the top of the pole. See Fig. 4.
4. For luminaires that are mounted at 12 ft on the 20ft and 25ft poles, pull the driver wires through the raceway on the lower mount bracket.
5. Connect the luminaires to the drivers using the cool splice connectors (included), see “to install cool splice connector” instructions and Fig. 10. 6. Gently pull the wires back through the raceway from the top of the pole.
7. Gently slide the luminaire over the mount bracket while keeping tension on the wires so they do not get pinched between the luminaire and the mount bracket.
8. Align the two holes of the luminaire with the two threaded holes on the mount bracket and insert a 3/8 washer and 3/8 button head cap screw in each hole.
9. Hand tighten both screws before using a 7/32” hex key to fully tighten.
10. Once connections are secure, gently lower the driver plate assembly into the pole. Push excess output wires down into the pole. Align the driver mount plate holes with the threaded holes in the pole. See Fig. 5.
11. Attach the driver plate to the top of the pole using two #8‐32 screws. One screw will be used to attach a grounding lug. For twist‐lock option, the other screw must attach a grounding tab, see Fig. 9. Make sure the the two 5/16” diameter threaded holes are lined up with the hoels in the driver assembly plate before tightening the screws. For twist‐lock option, connect like‐colored wires from the driver plate to the pole cap or finial wires using the spade connectors. Tuck excess wires into pole. Twist‐lock receptacle is factory installed in the top cap or finial.
12. For poles with one luminaire, the bent handle on the driver plate assembly should be installed on the same side as the luminaire. See Fig. 7.
13. Lower the top cap or finial into position. See Fig. 7 for finial orientation.
14. Using a 3/16” hex key, install the hardware as shown in Fig. 6.
15. Lift the light pole into position over the installed anchors as shown in Fig. 1. Ensure that the base plate is resting on all four washers.
16. Install washer and hex nut as shown in Fig. 2.
17. Plumb and level the pole and tighten all anchors.
18. Install the nut covers as shown in Fig. 3.
19. Connect line wires and ground at the bottom of the pole through the hand hole, using appropriate connectors (not included).
