Accommodation: Jan Henning is a lovely Dutch steel motor cruiser. She IS A GREAT ALLROUND VESSEL, happy on reasonable seas, rivers and European canal systems. Jan Henning has been cruised extensively around the East Coast of the UK and the European inland waterways. She would also make an excellent live aboard vessel and be ideal for inner city living at an affordable price. She provides excellent space and facilities. Access is gained either over the sides or up the swim ladder. Moving around the boat is easy thanks to the wide side decks, side rails and none slip paint all helping to make it feel very secure. The aft sun deck is very spacious and thanks to the spray dodger’s help keeps both the water and wind from blowing across the deck. There is enough space to put a table and chairs. There are also three large deck lockers. The twin helm seat is movable and the back rest flips over to make it both forward and aft facing. The upper helm station is central and provides excellent visibility. Both the radar arch and windscreen drop down in order to greatly reduce her air draft. Jan Henning is complete with a spray hood providing considerable protection whilst at the upper helm and the Bimini provides excellent protection for the sun deck. Access to the saloon is on the port side via the double doors. You step down in to the very light and airy saloon. This is courtesy of the all-round large windows. This also provides excellent ventilation. Stb side is a large white leather sofa with storage on either side, storage cupboards on the port side and the lower helm station port side mid-ship. The lower helm displays all the instrumentation whereas the upper helm only repeats speed log, depth, rudder indicator and bow/stern thruster controls. Access to the engine and generator is below the saloon floor. Access is easy and excellent. It is fitted with light and power. Moving aft, there is an impressive sized aft cabin with a large central island bed with storage beneath. There is a vanity unit with a large mirror and above lighting either side, wardrobe either side and bed side cabinets too. There is no shortage of storage on this boat. She is built for cruising. The master cabin benefits from a separate shower room and toilet compartment. The shower room is stb side. It is again very light and airy. It features a shower and sink with hot and cold water via a pressurised system. A good size surface area, large mirror and opening port holes. The toilet compartment is port side and is fitted with an electric sea toilet to an 11 gallon holding tank. Hand basin with hot and cold water, surface area, cupboard space, large mirror and opening port holes. Moving forward towards the saloon is hanging space on the port side for coats/life jackets. You walk through the saloon and step down in to the practical galley. Port side is the 4 ring gas hob and oven/grill, next to the wash basin again with hot and cold water, work surface, cupboards and draw. At the back of the work surface are two additional cupboards. There are two port holes above. Opposite is a large ‘L’ shape work surface above the fridge, cupboard and washing machine. There are also further cupboards above the work surface and two additional port holes. You then move forward to the FWD cabin. This is a double cabin fitted with an en-suit toilet compartment. Thanks to the 5 port holes in this cabin makes it a nice space. There is stowage beneath the berth. The en-suit is fitted with a manual sea toilet to the holding tank, a hand basin with hot and cold water, storage cupboard and a mirror. Jan Henning is fitted with heating so makes her an all year round boat. Viewing is highly recommended on this boat. She really would make a great alternative to a flat should you be looking for inner city accommodation with the ability to change location easily.
