Industrie CBI was born in 1963 in Milan (Italy)
and specialized his activity in the production of
industrial fans.
CCBlower was established in 1983 for the
production of Industrial Fans as licensee of
Chicago Blower Corporation merged Cat Blower
and Chicago Blower Italia.
CBI Group is one of the European leading
manufacturers of industrial fans.

Research & Development
CFD Simulation
The R&D division of CBI Group is made up of a
team of engineers which is used to work with the
best design software, prototypes laboratory and
several aeraulic test rooms.
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software
generates aeraulic virtual prototypes which
enable to investigate design solutions, evaluating
fluid dynamic performances of single blades,
fans and entire systems.
The analyzed results of new design are compared
to prototype experimental test to confirm our
applied theory, in order to provide effective
solutions to design and market requirements.
They also use the laboratories to improve
performances of products to find new solutions
to satisfy all specific requirements of our clients.
Airfoil blade - Stress analysis
It’s similar to a virtual laboratory which, by working
on numerical simulation models, anticipates the
effective aeraulic performances.
Axial blade - Flow simulation
Performance on the whole operating curve is
analyzed. The most promising designs selected
are then tested in the laboratory to define the final
configuration.
Use of external technical experts and universities

Laboratory
Testing Facilities
R&D division is equipped with a sophisticated full
automatic test room in Monza plant, projected
according to the AMCA standards, where fans up
to 710 [mm] of diameter with maximum airflow of
47000 [m3/h] and 5000 [Pa] of pressure can be
tested.
We use the test rooms to either perform full
or reduced scale test in order to find new
solutions for our client’s existing installation
through testing results, so that our clients can
request for revamping.
CBI Group is equipped with:

prototype. The operator drives the test execution
from the workstation console, setting the
appropriate throat sections by properly opening/
closing the tunnel nozzles, so as to generate the
