Perfect for High Fire Prevention Areas!
The Fuse-Safe™ is a portable current-limiting fuse and fault close-in protection tool.
This device offers an easier and safer method of protection compared to traditional
cut-out based devices which rely on fuse tubes and bulky insulators. This device
is extremely useful when placed in series with the
Utility Solutions BREAK-SAFE®.
The Fuse-Safe™ is the best choice for Fire
prevention areas which cannot
use open fuse tube devices.
The current-limiting fuse
design will not expel hot metal
or gases when triggered.
The Fuse-Safe™ consists of
two components: an upper
duckbill coupling ring and a
lower conductor bar coupling
ring. These components
directly attach to any 5/8”
studded end current limiting

fuse using a standard 1/8”
Allen wrench (provided). The fuse is easily replaced with only
two Allen screws.
The Fuse-Safe™ USFS-001/2 uses a 5/8” diameter conductor

GRAB-IT-1

method to safely remove or install
overhead fuse barrels. The Grab-It™
design provides positive control of the fuse barrel even in high wind conditions to
prevent accidental drops. No need to find the fuse barrel pull ring or lifting eye which
is difficult in low lighting conditions. Simply sweep
behind the fuse barrel and lift. The Grab-It™ works

The patented USJH-002 Jumper-Aid™ is
designed
to support
a jumper
wire during
construction,
maintenance, or repairs. It is particularly useful
when a jumper is required to be in the vicinity of
a conductor of a different voltage/phase. The
USJH-002 allows for the mechanical jumper and
or conductor to be supported while wrapped in an
insulating rubber blanket and or line hose while
eliminating the need for rope or tape. The pivoting
nature of the USJH-002 offers positive locking about
the jumper/conductor. The USJH-002 is also a useful
tool to prevent jumper “sag” about a cross arm.
Simply hang multiple Jumper Hook units along the intended jumper clamp path and
let the tool cradle the jumper clamp. Easily installed by a gloved hand or with a
shotgun stick the Jumper Hook will fit over any class 2 or 3 line hose and exhibits a
flash-over resistance
of over 50 kV.

The Utility Solutions Conductor Cleaner Clamp offers optimum conductor cleaning
prior to infield grounding and jumping connections. The C-Clamp design permits
either hand held operation or shotgun operation while providing a full 360 degree
conductor cleaning. USCC-001 Conductor Cleaning Clamp ships with the USCC002 and USCC-003 brush pad sets.
Non-conductive foam filled fiberglass provides
over 15” of metal-to-metal clearance between
the upper duckbill clamp and the lower parking
stand. The upper duckbill clamp will tighten on
wire ranging from #6 copper up to 1033 MCM.
Both USJT-001 and USJT-002 are rated for 400
Amperes Continuous Current.
The USJT-001 is manufactured
using a solid horizontal aluminum
parking stand (11 1/4” long x 5/8” diameter).
Brush pad sets are 5” in length and can be interchanged without the use of any
tools. Includes USCC-002 brush pad set for 250 MCM - 750 MCM conductors and
the USCC-003 brush pad set for #4 - 250 MCM conductors.

configuration (3/4” diameter aluminum) that allows for mechanical jumpers to be
clamped in both the horizontal and vertical plane. Attachment of jumpers in the

the jaws and enclose the conductor. Now place the shotgun stick in the unlocked
position but keep the conductor cleaner secured within the shotgun end. This will
permit the operator to provide a full 360 degree cleaning action on the conductor.
Stainless steel tension springs assure aggressive brush cleaning action to remove
even the most stubborn oxide layer.
When cleaning is completed return the shotgun stick to the locked position and
remove the tool.
If you are serious about obtaining a solid jumper or grounding connection our
cleaning brushes are a must.
Our conductor cleaners are machined from a tough weather resistant polymer.
All hardware is stainless steel to provide years of trouble free service. Brush set
replacement requires only a Phillips screwdriver.

The Varmint Shield is the proactive approach to eliminating animal related electrical
service interruptions. The varmint shield prevents critters from simultaneously touching
the primary and metal case of a transformer. The varmint shield can also be installed
about substation insulators and bushings. The unique design permits the unit to be
installed quickly with an insulated shotgun stick and without the need to drop service or
expose the lineman to energized equipment during installation.
The Varmint Shield is molded from a UV stabilized and flame retardant (UL 94 V-0)
polymer to provide many years of maintenance free in field service. The unique design
will not trap or accumulate fallen leaves and has no spring components to break
off, especially during cold weather installations. The Varmint Shield will handle all

The universal URD wrench is a multi-functional tool designed
specifically for utility field personnel responsible for both electrical
and water services.
The Elbow-Mule™ is a standard insulated shotgun stick attachment designed
to remove stubborn seized elbows without applying destructive and dangerous

Hot Stick with large, clear print running along side our patented
BLUE STRIPE® feature. Available in English (EM) or Metric
(MM) versions, this stick allows for easy and accurate measuring
while still functioning as a normal telescoping hot stick.
Our Measuring Stick is the only round, telescoping hot stick
available in EIGHT different sizes. Choose from 16’ to 50’,
English or Metric versions.
Our epoxy resin and unique non-woven fiberglass construction
creates a smoother surface that resists water absorption. Our
CNC machined spline end and buttons will hold up to the rigors

electrical grade fiberglass. Wall thickness has been engineered to provide the
utmost in mechanical strength to meet the rigors of in field pushing, pulling or
twisting of stubborn equipment. Each stick interior is filled with a high performance
closed cell foam to prevent water absorption. The stick exterior has been chemically
sealed to provide a smooth surface texture for easy cleaning.
Utility Solutions straight sticks meet or exceed all applicable industry performance
criteria including ASTM F711, ASTM F1826 and OSHA Sub. V sec. 1926.951(d).

The Boom Holster is a unique, two-piece hot stick holder that easily mounts on a
boom. The rugged molded design is spring loaded at one end so an operator can
remove and insert a hot stick with just one hand.
Disconnect and NEMA Switch heads conveniently fit into a slot closest to the
operator. The Boom Holster is a convenient and safe way to secure a hot stick.

The Utility Solutions bucket stick
storage case will work with any size
bucket sick on the market. Molded
from tough waterproof blue polymer
the bucket case conveniently clips to
the side of the bucket without the need to drill or otherwise modify the bucket. The
cover is secured to the base to prevent accidental loss and drainage holes in the
base provide rain drainage to ensure the interior stays dry. The
cover/base design permits bucket stick storage without the
need to rotate the hot stick probe end and permits one to grab
the stick body when removing so as not to extend the stick.

The Load-Trainer™
is a fully functional
electrical trainer that
allows for the simulation of most distribution

There are two Load-Trainer™ models. The XFMR-3BUSHING simulates low side voltage three bushing transformers. The

Note: 3BUSHING design does NOT permit open primary or open

The patented USJH-002 Jumper-Aid™ is
designed
to support
a jumper
wire during
construction,
maintenance, or repairs. It is particularly useful
when a jumper is required to be in the vicinity of
a conductor of a different voltage/phase. The
USJH-002 allows for the mechanical jumper and
or conductor to be supported while wrapped in an
insulating rubber blanket and or line hose while
eliminating the need for rope or tape. The pivoting
nature of the USJH-002 offers positive locking about
the jumper/conductor. The USJH-002 is also a useful
tool to prevent jumper “sag” about a cross arm.
Simply hang multiple Jumper Hook units along the intended jumper clamp path
and let the tool cradle the jumper clamp. Easily installed by a gloved hand or
with a shotgun stick the Jumper Hook will fit over any class 2 or 3 line hose and
exhibits a flash-over
resistance of over
50 kV.

Standard Terms and Conditions of Sale
These terms and conditions govern the sale of products (“Product or Products) and provisions of services
(“Services”) by Utility Solutions Inc. (USI). These terms and conditions (“Agreement”) take precedence

given. Neither Seller’s commencement of performance or delivery shall be deemed or construed as
acceptance of Buyer’s supplemental or conflicting terms and conditions. USI’s failure to object to
conflicting or additional terms will not change or add to the terms of this agreement. Buyer’s acceptance
of the Products and / or Services from Seller shall be deemed to constitute acceptance of the terms and
conditions contained herein.

Orders: All orders placed by Buyer are subject to acceptance by Seller. Orders may not be cancelled
or rescheduled without the Seller’s consent. All orders must identify the product, part number,
quantity, unit price, freight forwarder, contact information, Bill and Ship To information as well as
purchase order number, date and quotation reference if applicable. Seller may at its sole discretion
allocate Product among its customers.
Prices: The prices of the Products are those specified through price list or quotation. Pricing is
subject to change in the event of an increase in Seller’s cost, change in market conditions or any
other causes beyond Seller’s control. Price quotations shall automatically expire in thirty (30) days
from date of issue, or as otherwise stated in the quotation.
Taxes: Unless otherwise agreed to in writing by Seller, all prices quoted are exclusive of
transportation and insurance costs, duties, and all taxes including federal, state and local sales,
excise and value added, goods and services taxes, and any other taxes. Buyer agrees to indemnify
and hold Seller harmless for any liability for tax in connection with the sale, as well as the
collection or withholding thereof, including penalties and interest thereon.
Payment: Payment may be made by check, money order, credit card, or wire transfer (all fees are
borne by the buyer). Where Seller has extended credit to the Buyer, terms of payment shall be net
thirty (30) days from date of invoice. On any past due invoice, Seller may impose interest at the
rate of 1.5% per month. If Buyer fails to make each payment when it is due, Seller reserves the
right to change or withdraw credit and hereby suspend or cancel performance under any and all
purchase order agreements in which Seller has extended credit to the Buyer. In the event of default
by Buyer, Seller shall be entitled to costs, fees, and expenses, including but not limited to recover
of attorney fees, court costs and fees, and collection costs.
Delivery and Title: All deliveries shall be made “EXWORKS” place of shipment, unless otherwise
agreed upon. Title and risk of loss pass to the Buyer upon delivery of the Product to the carrier.
Seller’s delivery dates are estimates only and Seller is not liable for delays in delivery or for failure
to perform due to causes beyond the reasonable control of the Seller, nor shall carrier be deemed an
agent of the Seller. A delayed delivery of any part of an order does not entitle Buyer to cancel other
deliveries.
Acceptance / Returns: Shipments will be deemed to have been accepted by the Buyer upon delivery
of the said shipments to the Buyer unless rejected upon receipt. Any discrepancy in shipment
quantity must be reported within 7 days after delivery. Buyer may not return Products without a
return for material authorization (RMA). RMA valid for 30 days from date issued. Any product
returned by Buyer due to Buyer’s error may be subject to a restocking change equivalent to 100%
of the value of such Product as specified in Sellers’s invoice to Buyer.
Limited Warranty: Seller warrants to Buyer that Products purchased hereunder will conform to the
manufacture’s specifications for such products and is warranted from material defect for a period of
one (1) year from the date of shipment. If Seller breaches this warranty, Buyer’s remedy is limited
to (at Seller’s election) (1) refund of Buyer’s purchase price for such production (without interest),
(2) repair of such Products, or (3) replacement of such Products; provided that such Products must
be returned to Seller, along with acceptable evidence of purchase No warranty will apply if the
Product as been subjected to misuse, neglect, accident or modification.
SAVE AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED IN THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, ALL IMPLIED
WARRANTIES, TERMS AND CONDITIONS (WHETHER STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE)
ARE EXCLUDED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Limitation of Liabilities: BUYER SHALL NOT BE ENTITLED TO, AND SELLER
SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR, LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, PROMOTIONAL
OR MANUFACTURING EXPENSES, OVERHEADS, BUSINESS INTERUPPTION
COSTS, INJURY TO REPUTATION OR LOSS OF BUYERS, PUNITIVE DAMAGES,
LOSS OF CONTRACTS OR ORDERS OR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL INCIDENTAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY NATURE. BUYER’S RECOVERY FROM SELLER
FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE PAID FOR THE
AFFECTED PRODUCTS IRRESPECTIVE OF THE NATURE OF THE CLAIM WHETHER
IN CONTRACT, TORT, WARRANTY OR OTHERWISE. BUYER WILL INDEMNIFY,
DEFEND AND HOLD SELLER HARMLESS FROM ANY CLAIMS BASED ON (a) SELLERS
COMPLIANCE WITH BUYER’S DESIGNS, SPECIFICATIONS, OR INSTRUCTIONS, (b)
MODIFICATION OF ANYH PRODUCTS BY ANYONE OTHER THAN SELLER, OR (c) USE
IN COMBINATION WITH OTHER PRODUCTS.

Export Control: Buyer certifies that it will be the recipient of the Products to be delivered by the
Seller. Buyer acknowledges that the products are subject to the export/import control laws and
regulations of various countries, including the Export Administration Laws of the United States.
Products sold by the Seller cannot be transferred, sold or re-­exported to any part on the Entity List
or Restricted Persons List of the U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security,
any party designated by the U.S. Department of Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets
Control, and any party debarred or sanctioned for proliferation of terrorism reasons by the U.S.
State Department.
Use of Products: Buyer agrees that Seller and manufacturer of the Products are not liable, in whole
or in part, for any claim. Buyer agrees to indemnify, defend and hold seller and manufacturer of
Products harmless from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, expenses, and
liabilities arising out of or in connection with use or sale.
Force Majeure: Seller is not liable for failure to fulfill its obligations for any accepted order or for
delays in delivery due to causes beyond Seller’s reasonable control including, but not limited to,
acts of God, natural or artificial disaster, riot, war, strike, delay by carrier, shortage of product, acts
or omissions of other parties, acts or omissions of civil or military authority, Government priorities,
changes in law, material shortages, fire, floods, epidemics, quarantine restrictions, acts of terrorism,
delays is transportation or inability to obtain labor, materials or products through its regular
sources, which shall be considered as an event of force majeure excusing Seller from performance
and barring remedies for non-­performance. In an event of force majeure condition, the Seller’s time
for performance shall be extended for a period equal to the time lost as a consequence of the force
majeure condition with subjecting Seller to any liability or penalty. Seller may, at its option, cancel
the remaining performance, without liability or penalty, by giving notice of such cancellation to the
Buyer.
Technical Assistance or Advice: Any technical assistance or advice offered to the Buyer is
provided only as an accommodation to the Buyer. Seller shall not be held liable for the content or
Buyer’s use of such technical assistance or advice nor shall any statement made by any of Seller’s
representatives in connection with the Products or Services constitute a representation or warranty,
express or implied.
General: (a) The laws of the state of North Carolina will exclusively govern any dispute between
Seller and Buyer, (b) Buyer may not assign this Agreement without the prior written consent of
the Seller. This agreement is binding on successor and assigns, (c) Products, including intellectual
property, are subject to any applicable rights of third parties, such as patents, copyrights and/or user
licenses.
