Evax MS mini Series Speakers Speaker/Strobe
DESCRIPTION
The MSHP (High Power) and MSLP (Low Power)
Mini-Speakers are designed to reproduce
electronically generated warning tones as well as full
range voice communication. The Mini-Speakers are
designed for 25Vrms UL Listed fire alarm systems
and have a wide frequency response. The minispeakers have a supervisory capacitor for connection
to supervised alarm notification circuits. MiniSpeakers operate at 1 watt (MSHP) and 3/4 watt
(MSLP). Speaker faceplates are available with a red
or white finish. CPG Model V1971 synchronized
strobe lights are available as an option when visual
signaling is required. Strobes can be synchronized
using Model VSYNC sync module.

APPLICATION
The MS Series Mini-Speakers produce a broad
frequency range which provides both the low and high
fidelity response required for effective tone and voice
alarm notification.
MS Series Mini-Speakers are available in red or
white. Single gang plate models mount to a single
gang electrical box, or may mount to a standard 4"
square electrical box with a single gang raised plaster
extension ring. Double gang plate (strobe) models
can be mounted to a single gang, double gang, or 4"
square electrical box. The compact design and range
of mounting configurations permit the mini-speakers
to fit many applications.

Alarm notification appliances shall be fire alarm mini-speakers
capable of producing alarm tones or voice generated from all
25Vrms audio systems. The speakers shall have wattage ratings
of 3/4 or 1 watt with a supervisory capacitor for connection to
supervised audio alarm notification circuits. An optional strobe
light shall be capable of being mounted to the front of the device.
The speakers and speaker/strobes shall flush mount to either a
single gang, double gang, or standard 4" square electrical box.
The speakers shall have screw terminals for connection to field
wiring. The speaker shall be housed in a textured, high impact,
flame resistant housing with a red or white finish. The minispeakers shall produce a UL Sound Pressure Level at 10 feet up
to 81dB(A)@1W, 75dB(A)@ 3/4W. The mini-speakers shall be UL
Listed for indoor fire alarm signaling use. Alarm notification
appliances shall be Commercial Products Group Model MSHP or
Model MSLP Mini-Speakers.
(OPTIONAL) The strobe lights shall be mounted to the front
surface of the speakers. The strobe lights shall use a xenon
flashtube with solid state circuitry. The strobe lights shall comply
with UL 1971 Standard for Signaling Devices for the Hearing
Impaired and ADA. The strobe lights shall be UL Rated for a light
intensity output of 15/75, 30/75, 75, and 110 candela with a 1Hz
flash rate. The strobe lights shall be synchronized when used with
VSYNC synchronization module. The strobe lights shall have red
FIRE lettering. The strobe lights may be operated independently
or simultaneously with the speakers. Mini-speaker/strobes shall
be Evax Model EF-MSHP/MSLP with Model V1971 strobe lights
Sync Mod, 2 Class "B" Ckt, 1 Class “A", 3A
