Anything with too much text can be very busy and
difficult to read. We suggest if you plan to place
a large number of room controls in one area to
expand your switch to a double or triple gang size
to make it easier.

Simpler is Better
A few successful font examples:
Because there is a size limit to how large your text or
icons can be on each button, it is recommended that
very simple icons and san-serif or bolder serif fonts be
used. If the actual font is too light or narrow in places, it
will not reproduce well.

Subtle or Bold
In many cases a Designer or Hotelier will try to subtly blend in the
switches to the wall color, in other instances its been noted that a
contrasting color switch has enhanced the rooms decor. You may
also decide to make the switch frame a different color than the
switch for another effect.

Doorbell
British controllers fit a British gang box and are available in single column or double column styles that can either function as
dimmer bars or individual buttons. The maximum touch points
per switch is 6. The dimmer function can act as an individual
control or as added functionality to the other buttons on the
switch. A double gang box size is also offered with a max of 8
buttons, 4 dimmers or any combination of both to equal a max
of 2 buttons or 1 dimmer per column.

and color decisions to consider.
Because the MODEVA series has
back lighting on its switches and
buttons, you need to decide what
should light up.

Because space it limited on the 5 or 6 button switches we suggest you
keep your Text simple. For Example: “SERVICE” instead of Make Up Room.
“TEMP DN” instead of Temperature Down. The use of arrows and basic icons
may also be a good choice. We can do two lines of text on a single button
if necessary, but do not recommend it. 10pt. is the suggested minimum
font size and 11 letters per line, in most cases. Additional font and icon
information on the next page.
