Fidlock – the new generation of fasteners
Fidlock was founded with the aim of developing easy-to-use and trend-setting magnetic-mechanical fasteners in an appealing design that revolutionise
even long-established concepts. Our innovative fastener concepts based on the Fidlock concept offer users a new dimension in terms of functionality,
safety and fun. The great ease of use, ergonomic features as well as classy and robust processing convince users straightaway. In daily use, Fidlock
fasteners offer qualities that have never been achieved before: they close automatically and can be opened single-handedly with ease – even when
wearing gloves. Users especially appreciate this advantage for sporting activities; it means that they can use the other hand to ensure their own safety. All
Fidlock fasteners combine a high level of reliability with the simplest method of opening and closing a fastener.
At present, Fidlock offers product developers and designers a large range of innovative magnetic fasteners in eight product families. This means that they
get the right solution for a wide range of application areas and individual design concepts. Thanks to the large selection of different designs and materials
as well as opportunities for individualisation, product designers do not have to make any compromises with Fidlock fasteners. Our fastener concepts are

Award-winning technology – the Fidlock concept
Our product portfolio is based on one-of-a-kind, patented magnetic-mechanical fastener technology: the Fidlock concept. It combines neodymium
magnets that can be slid laterally with stable, mechanical snap functionality. One common, important feature of Fidlock fasteners is that the opening
procedure differs from the closing procedure: when closing, the magnets move towards each other as a result of the attractive force and are automatically securely locked when they connect thanks to the mechanical snap functionality, an especially practical procedure that takes place automatically.
Depending on the product group or fastener concept, fasteners with the Fidlock concept are opened by sliding laterally, tilting or rotating.
Thanks to the Fidlock concept, our innovative fastener concepts combine the advantages of a magnetic and snap fastener in a way that has never been
achieved before: strong magnets make them easy to close and secure snap functionality ensures a continuously high locking force.

The MINI TURN product family is the logical next step of the successful BIG TURN rotary fasteners. They combine the same performance features in a
significantly more compact and lighter design: MINI TURN fasteners present a convincing argument thanks to the Fidlock concept (see page 2) with
automatic closing and can be opened in no time at all – with a simple half turn of the handle. The different handle variations and materials offer product
designers great flexibility in the design of their products, for example shoulder bags, satchels or handbags. Additionally, the fastener covers are available
in different colours and can feature individual branding – with a logo as a sticker, laser engraving for aluminium handles, through optional dyeing of the
plastic or anodisation of the aluminium surfaces. Furthermore, individual handles can be developed on request. The impressive thing about MINI TURN
fasteners is not just their convenience for end consumers: thanks to their simple processing possibilities, fitting them to products is also a breeze. Alongside a large selection of handles, product designers can choose between two different fastener versions depending on the application area.
MINI TURN thread – processing with screw collar
The MINI TURN thread is the ideal solution for most fastening concepts and optimally suited for a wide
variety of application areas. The fastener is fitted using stable thread collars for the upper part „male“
(1) and the lower part „female“ (2) and can be carried out reliably even with simple tools. The Mini
Turn Thread top sleeve is also available for thicker materials (2,5 - 5mm). The MINI TURN thread
offers a wide selection of handles.

MINI TURN rivet – processing with heat riveting
Fasteners in the MINI TURN rivet product family are fitted using heat riveting. This is carried out on
the upper part „male“ (1) as well as the lower part „female“ (2). This product version is designed for
extreme stresses and strains, e.g. for use on satchels. "MINI TURN rivet" requires a special fitting
device for integrating the heat rivets into the product. The "MINI TURN rivet" can be combined with
handle D and handle G chrom.
The MINI TURN rivet is optimised for semi-automated fitting in large production lots. The male and
female parts each require a fitting machine, which are available on request from FIDLOCK.

With the SLIDER product family, Fidlock is presenting a true alternative to the traditional buckle. In practice, the SLIDER presents a convincing argument
with a completely new "easy entry" fastener concept based on the tried-and-tested Fidlock concept (see page 2). It can be easily and conveniently
opened by sliding laterally and closes automatically. The SLIDER therefore combines all the advantages of a magnet and snap fastener. The SLIDER is
available for 25 mm and 40 mm-wide straps. The variation made of fibre-glass reinforced nylon (PA) is especially robust. In addition, the different
coloured variations of the SLIDER offer flexibility in product design and are available in almost any colour upon request. The optional "shield" logo plate
made of stain- less steel offers a particularly high-quality space for individual logo design on the fastener.

SNAP fasteners are not only the most compact, but also the most versatile fasteners in the Fidlock portfolio. The fastener concept of the SNAP product
family is based on the tried-and-tested Fidlock concept (see page 2), which combines the convenience of a magnetic fastener with a stable mechanical
snap fastener. As with all our fasteners, SNAP models also boast an automatic closing mechanism. The SNAP is opened by sliding laterally. Thanks to the
extremely compact design, the different variations and the mechanical locking force, the universal fastener is suitable for a wide range of applications, for
example to close and join bags, items of clothing or even to secure ski goggles and ski helmets. SNAPs are also ideally suited for fixing accessories or
larger objects – such as an optional exterior bag or key attachment on a rucksack, a car foot mat or even an easily removable bicycle basket. Product
designers get the right models and types of fitting for different materials and material thickness. Further possibilities are opened up through product
variations with high-quality metal covers in different materials and refined surfaces (brass, aluminium – for example brushed, polished, anodised,
chrome- plated or gold-plated). The individual, attractive product design means that Fidlock SNAP fasteners can also be used for especially exclusive

With the SNAP pull, Fidlock offers a user-friendly fastener that can be opened easily by pulling. Typical features for the Fidlock concept are the one-hand
operation and automatic closing. The fastener closes magnetically and clicks reliably into place. Thanks to concealed mounting, SNAP pull fasteners can be
integrated almost invisibly into the customer's product (e.g. bags). With the "invisible look", designers not only benefit from highly functional added value in the

The HOOK product family is designed for fastening applications that are subject to particularly high loads, such as motorcycle helmets. Thanks to the use of
fibre-glass reinforced materials in conjunction with an aluminium hook (may vary), HOOK products even withstand tensile forces of up to 200 kg. This ensures
that the fastener will not accidentally disengage even under extreme loads. The HOOK is also available in other variations for applications to which lower
levels of tensile force apply, such as for dog leads or as smaller and slimmer variations for watch or bag fasteners. The HOOK family represents a brand
new, patented product family. The fastener is engaged by moving the male part (upper part) with the (metal) buckle towards the female part (bottom part).
Once in position, both elements magnetically lock and securely engage in the groove. Opening the fastener is just as easy: simply tilt it forwards or, with
the HOOK 25 alu motorbike, pull the strap to disengage the fastener – a simple process, even when wearing gloves. The HOOK product family is suitable
for straps with widths of 15, 20, 25 and 40 mm and ranges from particularly slim and light variants to the HOOK 25 alu motorbike and the HOOK 25

SNAP push – belt strap threading
The Fidlock fasteners can be optionally fitted with belt strap threading and fixing. The Fidlock
solution offers numerous advantages when it comes to operation, safety and product design: it
allows belt straps to be lengthened/shortened as well as fixed/released quickly and easily. The
fixing unit offers increased safety, as it only releases the belt strap at a 90° angle, thereby allowing
controlled adjustment. Once the belt strap is fixed, it is kept in the desired position by two hooks.
Thanks to the design with concealed "ladder lock" bars inside the casing, the Fidlock belt strap
threading with fixing offers greater design freedom: the larger area offers more space for a
prominent logo.
