This form is for currently enrolled PSU academic international sponsored students that would like to take a
course at another institution and need a letter for your sponsor. You must complete this form prior to coenrolling if a letter is required for your sponsor. If you do not receive approval prior to taking course, a
verification letter is not guaranteed.
1) Student must complete and sign the student section. Incomplete forms will not be accepted.
2) Submit co-enrollment form to International Student and Scholar Services, East Hall, Rm 101.
3) Please allow 5 – 7 business for a response to your request.

By completing the form, you agree to the following procedure and statement: The co-enrollment form must be
submitted with a current term schedule. Concurrent enrollment can be no more than 6 credit hours outside of
PSU. International students can be concurrently enrolled at only ONE school in addition to Portland State
University. Only one letter will be written per issue.
A letter verifying the credit will transfer back will only be written if:
 The student has completed their first year advising appointment
 The course is not offered on our campus in a given term
 The student is prevented from a course in the proper sequencing required for the program of study
 The student has a current GPA of 2.5 or higher
 The student has completed a minimum of 2 quarters in their academic program at PSU (IELP is not part
of the academic program).
