Passive Infrared Technology
Passive infrared sensors provide
the best solution for major motion
detection. These sensors use
a specially designed lens to divide the space into zones, When
a person moves between zones, the sensor promptly turns on
the lights. Passive infrared sensors are perfect for small, enclosed
spaces with frequent occupant movement.
Ultrasonic Technology
For superior detection of minor
motion activity, such as typing,
ultrasonic sensors provide the best
solution. These sensors emit safe inaudible sound waves into a
space. Movement in the space causes frequency shifts between
the emitted waves and the reflected waves which is interpreted
as occupancy. Because ultrasonic sensors do not require a clear
line of sight, they are ideal for offices with cubicles or restrooms
with stalls.

Overview
The LightHAWK passive infrared, ultrasonic and dual technology
wall switch occupancy sensors represent the state-of-the-art in
sensor technology. All LightHAWK sensors feature IntelliDAPT
technology that continuously analyzes the environment and
self-adapts, eliminating the need for manual sensitivity and timer
adjustments. These superior sensors offer selectable operating
modes—Auto On or Manual On – as well as a built-in photosensor for automatic daylight harvesting.
Overview
OMNI ceiling mount occupancy sensors employ a combination
of passive infrared, ultrasonic and IntelliDAPT technologies
to provide unequaled occupancy detection and false trip
immunity. OMNI sensors are available with optional
relay control for use with Building Automation
Systems, and a photosensor for automatic daylight
harvesting.
