Panduit UPI Pavilion
Enterprise Solutions
Every modern building system (HVAC, lighting, security,
and communications) uses some form of IT networking for
management and control. Components can include a wide
variety of endpoint devices as well as required network
infrastructure. Panduit’s Enterprise Solutions strategy is
an innovative approach to the design and deployment of
building systems that leverage an intelligent, open-systems
architecture to fulfill current day building system requirements
while providing a flexible migration path for adopting
future technologies.
ES 1: Building Automation System (BAS) Enclosure
This enclosure integrates data communications and Building
Automation Systems by converging the infrastructure into
a single Ethernet network. The BAS enclosure minimizes
installation costs, eliminates redundant cable runs, optimizes
cable routing and management of patch cords and electrical
components, and offers a vented design for thermal
management of network equipment and power supplies.
• Lutron® Lighting
• Tridium® JACE® that provides connectivity to systems
within a building
• Panduit® Mini-Com® BAS Connector Modules that support
deployment of fieldbus networks and low voltage system
wiring within IT network pathways
ES 2: Consolidation Point
Zone enclosures are network consolidation points, allowing
all cables to be managed and patched in a single enclosure.
The UPI Pavilion showcases the use of a zone enclosure as a
mini-TR to mount network equipment in the air handling spaces.
• PanZone® Ceiling Enclosure
• PanZone® Cabling System
• DPoE™ Power over Ethernet Systems
ES 3: Enterprise Building Data Center
The Enterprise Building Data Center leverages TIA-942 best
practices to organize previously disparate building systems’
servers and related equipment in an efficient footprint. It also
assures this consolidated and organized environment for the
building level server and storage requirements is supported by
adequate power and cooling. This improved organization of
assets enables tangible improvements in infrastructure
efficiency and assures the integrity and functionality of
the connected building.
• FiberRunner® Routing System
• StructuredGround™ Grounding System
• Mini-Com® Outlet Modules

Enterprise Solutions Unified
Operations Center
There are many types of operations centers, and most corporate
security practitioners are familiar with these three types: Security
Operations Center (SOC), Network Operations Center (NOC)
and Building Operations Center (BOC). Traditionally, the negative
effects of deploying multiple operations centers have been
largely unavoidable – the duplication of physical and electronic
supporting infrastructure, and the isolation of information
between siloed operations centers.
Today network-based capabilities enable information and
communication to be defined anywhere, and rules-based
systems can automate initial routing and handling for
time-critical evaluation and policy-based automated response.
The factors that have necessitated infrastructure duplication and
functional isolation for operations centers in the past, no longer
exist. It is now possible to deploy a UOC, where multiple
operations functions are combined.
Adjacent to the UPI Pavilion is Panduit’s World Headquarters
UOC, where SOC and NOC functions have been combined into
a single operations room. This allows data to be shared across
the spectrum of applications for improved operational awareness
and response. The objectives are efficiency and operational
cost savings, as well as higher levels of system and
organizational performance.
