SECURITY AND ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS WARNING !!! Please read carefully these instructions before using a Bio-Blaze® fireplace. The non compliance with the safety rules can cause serious burns, or even a fire. I. Installation: To attach the Bio Fireplace to the wall, use the screws supplied. You must ensure that the fireplace is well attached to the wall. Additional protection measures needs to be taken for your wall. The isolation cover is meant to protect your wall. You may glue the isolation cover on the back of the fireplace before hanging it on the wall. Use the glue provided in the kit, it’s heat resistant (up to 1100°C). . It can isolate it up to 1000°C. You need to use the protection cover for papered wall, walls containing wood, etc. You need to make sure that there are no electric cables located behind your fireplace. Before using the stones: You need to wash the stones before using them with water and soap. Let them dry. Now they are ready to be used. The Bio Fireplace Bio-Blaze® is a decorative fireplace item and not a heating system. Some rules that you need to respect before using the Bio Fireplace: You need to have a fire extinguisher near by your Bio Fireplace Ensure that flammable products (curtains, furniture or other flammable materials) are not near by the fireplace. Keep children and pets away from the Bio Fireplace. Do not cover the fireplace; do not place any flammable materials or clothing on the fireplace. Do not smoke while lighting the burners of the Bio Fireplace. Do not use any petrol products: spirits, essence … ONLY BIOETHANOL 96% ethanol is suitable for the fireplace Bio-Blaze®. Do not use the Bio Fireplace Bio-Blaze® in caravans, boats, or in vehicles. Do not use the Bio Fireplace Bio-Blaze® in non-ventilated rooms. Persons who present breathing problems needs to be advised by their doctors before use. We do not recommend placing the Bio Fireplace in a bedroom or a bathroom. If you wish to use the Bio Fireplace in a small room (less than 20m²), the doors should stay open or keep a window open, the ventilation of the room will be required. Do not stock the bio ethanol near by a Bio Fireplace. Do not use the Bio Fireplace Bio-Blaze® and its burner to cook food, to heat water or to grill meat. Do not use the Bio Fireplace Bio-Blaze® and its burner if flammable gas is in the room. In case of burning injuries, call your nearest doctor or hospital service. Do not apply any treatment on the burn. See a doctor for a treatment. Respect the law of your city in terms of the fire security. It is not recommended to burn a Bio-Blaze® near a tree or any flammable vegetation. The non compliance with these rules can cause serious burns as well as risk of fire. II. Using the Bio Fireplace: The Bio Fireplace Bio-Blaze® burns exclusively with bio ethanol. This liquid requires caution use and the respect of the security instructions. Bio Fireplace Bio-Blaze® with cylindrical burners: Pour in the bio ethanol with caution into the burners. You can use the fennel. The burners can be filled up to ¾ Make sure that you don’t spill while you pour in the bio ethnaol. If it is the case, wait several minutes until it evaporates or clean it with a paper towel. The reducers are to be placed on the top of the cylindrical burner. Do not take out the reducers while it is burning. You can get injured. Bio-Fireplace Bio-Blaze® with burner: Pour in the bio ethanol with caution into the burner. The burner can be filled up to ¾ Make sure that you don’t spill while you pour in the bio ethanol. If it is the case, wait several minutes until it evaporates or clean it with a paper towel. If there is still bio ethanol in your bloc burner, before using it, open the slot, wait 30 seconds and then you can put the fire on. Always close the slot at the end. For all models: To light the fire use a long lighter provided in the kit, or a long match. With a normal lighter, you can risk burning injuries. When the flames are out, you need to wait until the burner is cold (+/- 20minutes), then you can file in the burner with bioethanol and light it again. If you decide to extinguish the fire, you need to wait 15 minutes before putting on the flames again. Never take the burner in your hands while it’s burning or if it’s hot Never put your head on top of the burner while lighting it. Never leave the bio ethanol bottle open next to a fireplace. Never ad bio ethanol while the fireplace is burning. The outer surface of Bio Fireplace will be hot while burning, be careful for the children Never leave the Fireplace without surveillance. Put out the fire in case you would like to leave home or go to bed. The bloc burner can not be placed on furniture or on the floor. It is destined to be used in the models of Bio-Blaze®, inside a chimney or in a structure made by a professional who will take care of the isolation. Ask for advice at your reseller or Bio-Blaze® for various possibility of use. The Pipes model is for outside use only. Do not place it near by flammable elements or near by persons. Ask for advice at your reseller or at BioBlaze®. Ceramic deco wood: If you choose to use ceramic deco wood, put them around the bloc burner in a way that should not be in the way of the slot, in any cases. T III. To Extinguish the Fire Bio Fireplace Bio Blaze® with cylindrical burners To put out the fire, please use the extinguisher provided in the kit Never blow out the flame in order to put it out, this will only increase the flame. Bio Fireplace Bio-Blaze® with a burner: To put out the fire, please use the lever provided in the kit. Do not close the slot with your hands. You will risk burning injuries. Never blow the flame in order to put it out; this will only increase the flame. IV. Bio ethanol Use only bio ethanol for the fireplaces of Bio-Blaze®. The bio ethanol is 96% pure alcohol, distillated for internal use. It only releases H2O and CO2. Do not use any other flammable products in the burners of the decorative Bio Fireplaces of Bio-Blaze® such as essence, white spirit, etc. These products are toxic and not for internal use. The bio ethanol is highly flammable, keep away from heat source. Keep in a dark, dry and cool place. V. Maintenance You can use a wet cloth to clean the internal surface of a fireplace. The burner can change color because of the heat. The stainless steel will have another appearance after a while. This is normal. A regular maintenance will keep its color. Do not clean with water or put in a dish washer. Just with a little bit of bio ethanol on a paper towel, go across the slot and the surface. The stones can be cleaned if you wish with a brush and water. The cylindrical burners can be cleaned with water.
