Bringing Forward the International Agendas for
Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Technology & Engineering Management:
Women & STEM Leadership, User-Driven & Frugal Innovations and Tech Startups
ICE is the Premier International Conference on Entrepreneurship, Innovation,
Technology and Engineering Management, under the technical sponsorship of the IEEE
TEMS. This is the 22nd Edition in a series of successful Annual Conferences, which
regularly attract over 200 international delegates from leading industrial,
governmental and research organisations around the world to share knowledge and
experience, lessons learned and innovative practices. In conjunction with the
conference there is also a three-day seminar of the NITIM International Graduate
School on Networks, Information Technology and Innovation Management.
This year the ICE/IEEE conference theme will focus on “Bringing Forward the
International Agendas for Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Technology & Engineering
Management” with special attention on “Women & STEM Leadership”, “User-Driven & Frugal
Innovations” and “Tech Startups”, aiming to open the international dialogue for
setting the direction of the ICE related disciplines research and innovation agendas
for the next decade.
The program will combine strategic keynote presentations and panels, technical and
policy papers, case studies, workshops, tutorials, posters exhibition and social
networking activities. The program will also showcase the results from research,
technology development and innovation projects co-funded by the European Commission
and other Research Programs.
We are now inviting full papers (max. 7000 words) or short papers (max. 1500 words)
for technical papers, visionary papers, business and government case studies.
Proposals to arrange 90-minute workshop sessions or tutorials are also welcomed. The
papers format should follow the IEEExplorer publication authoring guidelines.

The ICE/IEEE conference series has been featuring common themes over the last years
including: Concurrent Engineering, Systems Engineering, Responsible Innovation and
Technology Management, Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Solutions and Technology
Education. In addition, this year the ICE/IEEE community is placing a special focus
on Women’s leadership in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics),
User-Driven & Frugal innovations for developing countries, and Tech Startups. Details
about the related themes and suggestions for papers and sessions are outlined in the
Call for Papers www.ice-conference.org.
