Overview of outside diameters of installation lines
NYM wiring should be used for heavy current connections.
Never draw through individual wires as this no longer guarantees circuit separation on the heavy current side, and on the low
current side there can be a high susceptibility to fault due to
damage to individual wires. Also, individual cables do not
guarantee perfect screening.
On intersections or short parallel runs, the sheathing of
sheathed lines to VDE 0250 also serves as a partition.
Core insulation alone is not sufficient. In floor channel sockets,
partitions or cable bridges can therefore be omitted.
The duct filling factor 0.5 was taken as the mean in the table
below.

Fixing the underfloor connection socket
The underfloor connection socket is first positioned precisely with the aid of the centre markings and fixed
to the rough concrete or the levelling screed at the fastening holes (e.g. with knock-in fixing type 903/RB
or type 910/SD).
Fitting the trunking
Precise positioning of the trunking to be fed in is achieved by bending up the brackets in the socket base.
To ensure forced earthing from the base of the underfloor connection socket to the trunking, the base
plate of the trunking is pushed under the earthing bracket.
Height levelling of the underfloor connection socket
The underfloor connection sockets can now be levelled to the desired screed height. When levelling of
the underfloor connection socket is completed, the levelling screws can be cut off approximately 1 cm
above the corner joint if necessary (after consultation with the screed-layer). Subsequent levelling of the
underfloor connection socket is possible using the tool (fastened to the corner joint).
Side fabric of the underfloor connection socket
The side fabric is finally cut to fit the underfloor trunking which has been fed in. The corners of the fabric
are tacked together with a normal commercial tacker. If required the fabric can also be fixed to the rough
concrete and to the trunking.

Instructions for electricians and screed-layers
The underfloor connection socket must be directly connected with the screed. Separation with insulating
strips is not necessary, as the underfloor connection socket is acoustically isolated. Uniform settling of
the underfloor connection socket with the screed is guaranteed by removal of the decoupling elements.
This can only be done after the screed has hardened completely. Contact between the underfloor connection socket and cement screed, flow screed and mastic asphalt causes no problems.
Fitting levelling angles in the underfloor connection socket
When fitting cassette frames made of stainless steel, levelling angles type NW GEE VA must first be fitted
in the underfloor connection socket. Installation of floor access boxes with carpet protection frame is carried out with fixing kit for cavity floors type BFS HB 240/340.
Important:
Before the floor covering is trimmed around the underfloor connection socket, the appropriate holder
plate for the relevant floor access box must be fitted. The cut--out in the holder plate is then removed.
