Your Experts in Paint and Porcelain Finishing Pre-Treatment Washers E-Coating Systems Our customized pretreatment washers remove dirt, oils, greases and/ or light oxidation from steel, galvanized steel, aluminum or plastic parts. This process prepares part surfaces for a strong bond to accept your applied coating, and these cleaning machines can be designed to treat part surfaces with many different chemistries. Our washer systems are configured with 1 to 9 stages and heated by natural gas, steam, hot water or electricity. Parts can be conveyed through the washer several ways. Continuous conveyor speeds ranging from 3 to 60+ fpm are common, as well as batch-type indexing systems for very large parts and/or low production volume parts. We also have experience in single-stage pretreatment systems, which are similar to traditional pretreatment systems but have unique specifications to be considered. Our E-coat systems are designed to efficiently work with paint from any major paint manufacturer. Our engineers will work closely with you and the paint supplier so that our E-coat equipment includes the design features necessary to ensure the application of a high-quality and uniform paint finish at the lowest possible cost. Our team of organic paint finishing engineers offers years of E-coating experience for new E-coat installations, as well as for retrofits or modifications to existing equipment. Both anodic and cathodic E-coat systems can be specified, and our continuous conveyor line speeds range from 3 to 60+ fpm. For very large or unusually shaped parts, we also offer programmable hoist and other square transfer type systems. Curing and Drying Ovens Our custom-designed powder coating booths are typically installed in an environmental room to ensure trouble-free powder application and dirt-free parts. These rooms are equipped with automatic climate control systems designed to maintain an environment at optimal coating conditions. Ambient air in the room is maintained at uniform temperature and humidity throughout the day and all areas of the room, in order to provide ideal powder paint or enamel application conditions. It is constructed from modular insulated panels, with all internal surfaces reasonably smooth for easy cleaning. We design and build a complete selection of dry-off ovens, curing ovens, infrared ovens, and dehumidification systems. Configured to ensure uniform curing without discoloration, our custom-designed systems deliver the highest quality coating finish for steel, galvanized steel, aluminum or plastic parts. Our modular-design ovens use interlocking panels containing non-settling, non-combustible, non-asbestos type industrial insulation rated for 700°F. ■ Roof Mounted, Floor Mounted and Elevated Ovens ■ Batch Type Ovens (small gas-fired or electrical batch) ■ Infrared, Convection and Combination IR/Convection Ovens ■ Ultra-Low and Low NOx Heating Systems Powder Coating Systems Porcelain Enamel Furnaces Fluidized Bed Coating Systems We offer porcelain enamel furnaces engineered to maximize efficiency, achieve an optimum firing curve, and minimize dirt generation or infiltration and maintenance. We design furnaces to cure enamel, either wet or powder, from any of the major enamel suppliers, and our furnaces finish parts uniformly and completely without discoloration or dirt rejects. We offer various options including batch, intermittent, or continuous type systems. Our heating system, electric or gas, is designed to gradually and steadily raise the part temperature from ambient to set point (1400° to 1600°F). Once the part reaches the set point, its temperature can be maintained within 1/2 to 1% from the top to the bottom of the part throughout the conveyor path in the furnace. Our furnaces have many superior features and advantages that will benefit your finishing process. We can provide you with a fluidized bed powder coating system where heated parts are either dipped directly into a container of fluidized powder or passed through an electrically charged cloud of powder, which is created above a container of fluidized powder. Our fluidized bed systems feature automatic, fully-programmable coating operations including adjustable fluid bed dwell times, repeatable and consistent multi-axis part motion in the powder, and adjustable preheat and post heat temperatures. They also include several energy conservation features that our engineers can discuss during a meeting at your facility, as well as review the benefits and costs of fluidized bed coating with you to determine if it best fits your coating needs. Liquid Spray Systems We custom design, configure and install conveyors that best suit your plant’s application and line layout. They feature required speeds, efficient and reliable motors, and minimal downtime. Continuous conveyor speeds ranging from 3 to 60+ fpm are common, as well as batch-type indexing systems for very large parts and/or low production volume parts. Our team has experience designing Enclosed Track, Overhead I-Beam, and Chain On-Edge types of conveying systems. Our liquid spray booths are each designed to allow the efficient application of low or high solids solvent-based paints or water-based paints while effectively removing overspray particles from the spray booth exhaust. We offer a wide range of spray paint booth types and styles, some of which include: ■ Dry Filter or Water Wash ■ Side Draft or Downdraft Flow ■ Manual or Automatic Spray ■ Continuous or Batch Spray ■ Monorail, Power & Free, or Floor Conveyor Types Conveyor Systems Enamel Mill Rooms We can satisfy all of your mill room and lab requirements, and the following list includes just a few of the items that are available: Ball Mills (new and used), Grinding Media, Jar Mills, Ferrofilter, Rotospray Sifter, Magnetic Filters, High-Shear and Air-Drive Mixers, Scales, and Batch Furnaces. Our mission is to design, engineer and build a paint and/or porcelain enamel finishing system for you at a practical cost and within your scheduled timeline. Our customized finishing solutions are reliable, efficient, environmentallyfriendly, low-maintenance, and produce high-quality end results that meet your specific need or application. Engineered Finishing Systems’ commitment to our customers never ends at system delivery – we continue our relationship by providing superior technical support and ongoing service well after the startup of your finishing system.
