Founders and aims of the Alliance.
Initiated by the Deutsche Energie-Agentur (dena) – the German Energy
Agency – and the German Federation of Entrepreneurial Associations
(BUV) with the aim of …
• … intensifying business relationships between Germany and Turkey in the
energy sector,
• …. improving business opportunities by opening up new market options,
• … encouraging project cooperation and networks between German and
Turkish decision-makers and enterprises,
• … backing up corporate interests at the political level in Germany and Turkey.
Launch event to be held in autumn 2014.
Supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and
Energy (BMWi) and the Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural
Resources (YEGM).

Conditions for your participation.
• You offer products, solutions, services in the field of energy
efficiency in buildings or industry
or
• You are a manufacturing company and are interested in
energy-efficiency technologies and solutions
• You become an Alliance member (Slide 6).
Membership is initially for a two-year period and can then be
terminated annually.

Project concepts based on initial requirements analysis.
• Pilot projects in the industrial and building sectors
e.g. cross-section technologies, industrial processes, energy consultancy, financing
models (contracting)
• Development of experts and contacts databases
e.g. manufacturers, energy consultants and experts

• Contributing to the formulation of framework conditions

German-Turkish Energy Forum (1/2).
• Annual Energy Forum (launched in April 2013)
• Jointly initiated in 2012 by the governments of both countries.
• Forum 2014 to be held in Berlin, planned for late autumn.
• Organised in five thematic working groups (including
energy efficiency, renewable energies, grids).
• Energy Efficiency working group (AG Energieeffizienz)
• Coordinated by dena on behalf of the German Federal
Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
• Turkish coordinator: Turkish Ministry of Energy YEGM.
• Regular meetings, last meeting held in Ankara in June 2014.
• Topics dealt with by AG Energieeffizienz (selection)
• Energy efficiency in buildings (including energy consulting,
contracting, ESCO).
• Energy efficiency in industry (improving energy efficiency, energy
management, contracting, ESCO).

The Federation of Entrepreneurs’ Associations Germany (BUV) is an
umbrella association founded in 2009, which coordinates the work of
22 regional entrepreneurs’ associations, represents its members’
interests throughout Germany and champions corporate diversity.
In addition, BUV builds bridges and opens up new markets for
companies interested in networks as well as offering a
dialogue platform for the founding of partnerships.
