Compaq Pascal V5.8 for OpenVMS Alpha is the latest release of this compiler.This same compiler is also available for OpenVMS on VAX systems and
Tru64™ UNIX on Alpha systems.
Introduction
Compaq Pascal runs on the Alpha and VAX architectures on OpenVMS, and on Compaq Tru64 UNIX. A customer's investment in Pascal source code is not
only protected, it's extended. Compaq Pascal meets the Federal Information Processing Standard Publications (FIPS-109) requirements by accepting
programs conforming to the ANSI standard. Many features from the Extended Pascal Standard are also supported. Compaq Pascal has a solid reputation as
a production quality, high performance, and "Industrial Strength" compiler. It is a full compiler—not an interpretive one. Tightly integrated with the Alpha
architecture, it delivers optimal power and speed.
