The Trimble Township Community Christmas Cantata
will be held on Monday, December 14 at 7:00 pm at
Holy Cross. Come and enjoy the sounds of Christmas
music with our Christian brothers and sisters as we
prepare for the Christmas season. A reception will
follow.
HC CHRISTMAS PARTY
The Catholic Women’s Club will host its
annual Potluck Dinner on Wednesday,
December 16, at 6:30 p.m. following 6:00
p.m. Mass. Please bring a covered dish.
Meat and table service will be provided. Those families
with small children please bring a small gift marked
“boy” or “girl”. You should have received your raffle
tickets in the mail; if not, there will be extra in the back
of the church for those we may have missed or if you
want extras. Anyone wishing to donate items for our
raffle should let Marilyn know (767-2663).
SMH EPIPHANY PARTY
St. Mary’s will have their annual Epiphany party on
Sunday, January 3 following the 11:00 am Mass. Please
bring a dish to share.
ECUMENICAL CHRISTMAS HYMNSING
On Monday, December 14 at 7:00 pm at the Nelsonville
First Presbyterian Church join with our Christian
brothers and sisters as we prepare for the Christmas
season by singing Christmas Hymns. A reception will
follow.
2016 CALENDARS
The calendars for 2016 are now available at the
entrance to the churches. The calendars for Holy Cross
are a gift from Cardaras Funeral Home in Glouster. The
calendars for St. Mary’s are a gift from SouersCardaras Funeral Home in Nelsonville. We thank them
for their generosity to our community.
RELIGIOUS RETIREMENT FUND
Aging religious need your help. In the United States
today, there are more than 33,000 senior Catholic
sisters, brothers, and religious order priests. These
religious worked tirelessly in Catholic schools,
hospitals, and agencies, usually for little to no pay. As a
result, many religious communities lack adequate
savings for retirement and eldercare. Your gift to
today’s collection for the Retirement Fund for
Religious helps provide medications, nursing care, and
more. Thank you for your generosity!
ADVENT PENANCE SERVICE
To help us begin the Year of Mercy, an Advent
Penance Services will be held on Monday, December
21 at 7:00 pm at Holy Cross and at St. Mary’s on
Tuesday, December 22 at 5:15 pm.
CHRISTMAS CARDS FOR THE
INMATES
Thank you to everyone who donated Christmas cards
for the Hocking Correctional Facility. Through your
generosity we were able to deliver 1,727 cards for the
inmates to send to their families and friends. Your gift
is greatly appreciated!
