Preamble: In the Government order cited above, certaiti financial powers to the officers of the Public Works and Water Resources Departments were .delegated with a view to securing expeditious discharge of the duties. These powers"have not been revised/enhanced for a long time. The Board of Chief Engineers has deliberated the issue of the revision of tmancial powers on 15-10-2008 and after detailed deliberations, the Board ofehief Engineers recommended revision of delegation of powers and sent to Govt. for consideration. The powers delegated to various officers for according administrative and technical sanction as per item Nos. Irrigation works include water supply and drainage works also. 4. Repairs to motor vehicles is governed by the provisions of item no.40 of Rule 55 of MCE. 5. I GOVERNMENT ORDER No. PWD 671 FC-1 2009 Bangalore, dated. 3.2.2010 After careful consideration of the recommendations of the Board of Chief Engineers and taking into account the increase in the present day cost of labour and material and with the objective of securing speedy and efficient execution of works, Government have decided to enhance the existing financial powers of the Public Works and Water Resources 6 -.
