Operating and installation instructions Sensor for temperature and humidity Keep for future use! Valid from 15 March 2011 General information WWARNIN If hazard-free operation cannot be assumed, the device may not be commissioned or must be decommissioned. This assumption is justified If the enclosure or supply lines show signs of damage, If the device is no longer working. WWARNIN Disconnect the product from the supply voltage if cleaning or other maintenance work must be performed! Function Fig. 1 Sensor for temperature and humidity The sensor is connected to the sun shading control system and enables the measurement of relative humidity and ambient temperature. The sensor can be mounted outside on a pole. The high quality metal housing and the weather and radiation protected design guarantee a high level of resistance to weather influences and very high precision in data collection. Intended use The device was developed to control sun shading systems and window drives. The approval of the manufacturer must be obtained for uses outside of the purposes listed in these instructions. Safety instructions WWARNIN The electrical installation must be performed by a certified electrician in accordance with the electrical installation regulations published by the Association of German Electrical Engineers (VDE 0100) or the standards and regulations of the country in which the device is being installed. The electrician must observe the installation instructions included with the electrical device. A capacitive humidity sensor converts the current humidity value to an electrical signal. The temperature is evaluated by means of a temperature-dependent precision resistance (PT100 temperature sensor). The temperature value is converted into an electrical signal. The signals are transmitted to the downstream evaluation unit (e.g. sensor unit SE-BII). Installation The following points must be observed: The sensor must be mounted in a location that is representative of the climate measurements. Select a suitable location: in the open, a location on the northern facade of a building is preferable. Dew and spray water do not damage the sensor. Make sure the sensor is well-ventilated. Mount the sensor with the supplied mounting materials, either on a wall or on a pole with pipe clamps (suitable poles can be found on page 4). Electrical connection An on-site overload current protection device (fuse) and a disconnecting and isolating switch to switch off the entire system must be provided. The device meets the EMC guidelines for use in residential and commercial areas. WWARNIN The sensor may only be operated with safety extra low voltage. 890546_0•en•05.05.2011 We reserve the right to carry out improvements 1 Commissioning Technical data After the device is fully mounted and the power supply is connected, the device is ready for operation. The sensor should occasionally be checked for dirt (e.g. bird droppings) and cleaned carefully. Commercially available household cleaners may be used. Liability Failure to comply with the product information in these instructions and use of the unit in a manner that contravenes its intended use and purpose may result in the manufacture refusing to honour warranty claims for product damage. In this case, liability for consequential harm to persons or damage to property will also be excluded. Follow the instructions in the operating manual of your sun shading system. The automatic or manual operation of the sun shading system when iced over as well as using the sun shading system during severe weather may cause damage and must be prevented by the user by taking suitable precautions. Disposal After its use, the device must be disposed of according to legal regulations or brought to your local recycling centre. 0 Adjustment time 10 V DC 20 s Humidity sensor (measuring element FE 09/1) Measuring range 0 Output voltage 0 100 %RH 10 V DC Adjustment time 20 s Deviation in measuring range between 5...95 %RH at 10-40°C ±2 % %RH Enclosure Dimensions see Fig. 2 Installation Wall mounting/pole Degree of protection, electronics IP 65 Degree of protection, sensor part IP 30 Safety class III Test standards IEC standards: IEC 61000-6-2: 2005 IEC 61000-6-3: 2006 IEC 61010-1: 2001 Miscellaneous Conformity Viewable at www.warema.de Ambient conditions Operating temperature -40 +80 °C Article numbers Sensor for temperature and humidity 623 047 Power supply unit for installation in distributor enclosure 629 041 Power supply unit for installation in surface-mounted housing 629 054 WAREMA Renkhoff SE Hans-Wilhelm-Renkhoff-Strasse 2 97828 Marktheidenfeld, Germany 2 We reserve the right to carry out improvements 890546_0•en•05.05.2011 Sensor for temperature and humidity 0V 5/RD 2/BN %RH + 24 V 0V Temp 0V Humidity ϑ 6/OR 3/YL 4/GN 1/BK Supply YEGN 8 x AWG 26 C UL black Power supply unit for Sensor for temperature and humidity (outside) Junction box on site N L1 - + Supply line 230 V AC N L NYM-J 3x1,5 mm2 H05RR-F4G0,75mm2 BK JY (St) Y 2x2x0,8 mmø max. line length 100 m** * Recommended line type when routing outdoors **For twisted pair line to sensor unit Fig. 3 Electrical connection 890546_0•en•05.05.2011 We reserve the right to carry out improvements 3 Suitable poles Dimensions table Dimensions table (wall mounting) Dimensions table (ground mounting) A B Type no.
