we could have even imagined, and truly believe it is only the
beginning of more banners, more memories and more success
both in and out of the show ring!

Stress pending | Semen: $200/dose
Flexibility, Structure, Design, Comfort…Mama’s Right was the most
comfortable, loosest skeletoned boar we saw this summer that runs uphill,
is level designed and tremendously long hipped. He’s got great big legs and
feet with a skull and blade to match. We are all in the barrow business and
we all have heard at every show that they have to be sounder, they have
to be able to go, they have to be square leaving you, they have to have
balance… well that’s this boar. When they are made like this one, Mama’s
Right, they tend to hang the big banner.
Unfortunately due to an injured shoulder we have just started collecting
Mama’s Right, don’t forget or miss out on using one that exemplifies where
we are headed as far as maturity and look and is what we have all said we
have to start with, which is perfect feet and legs.

The best investment for The Stud yet. For the simple fact that he makes pigs better,
they feed, they will and are winning, and then there is a set of gilts out there that will
be heard from. Show Me Ur Swag could truly be as good of a sire to come around
that can impact generations of hogs.
Read the original description up top….He sires that way….Big Big legged pigs that
have a monster forerib and center cavity and can flat go as far as flexibility. At times,
pigs may be even a little too short bodied and “chunky”, which definitely separates
Show Me in the Swagger line of the industry and yet they still have an unbelievably
cocky, show pig look up front and feeders will tell you they do and will respond to
the bucket.......He is fun to have!!!

become the most popular boar at

through his siring ability!! One of the
few in recent times that has gotten
used way more in his 2nd and 3rd

The Old Man is still Cranking them out! The most frequent question we have
is who to breed Tapp to, and after 6 years we can truly say that we would
breed any sow on the farm to him and have confidence that not only that
they would be bloomy babies, but that they will have a chance to feed
and win. He consistently makes what every judge loves: high headed, level
designed ones that run up hill, undoubtedly function out of hip and hind leg
and are the right length of body, and they just know when you turn up the
feed, its time to respond and win. He’s fun to have, and it’s fun to watch his
pigs. If you haven’t gotten in yet, you better pretty quick, he’s getting old...If
you have used before, we don’t have to tell you to use him again!!!

Kenneth Soileau Ville Platte, La
“Tapp Datt” - It’s hard to believe that the extremely green,
skinny male who nearly died once while nursing because
of his size and then again as a weanling from greasy pig
survived only to become the 5th best male in his litter and a
“no sale” in our 2008 fall sale. This “no sale” enabled him to
later go on to place 4th in the Duncan sift and sale as a boar
prospect to Mike Clay. Nearly 6-years and 3-owners later
Tapp appears to be more relevant and popular than ever.
To say in words what he has meant to our herd would
probably not do him justice but even with the national
exposure combined with the fact that 90% of our females
go back to his mother the thing about Tapp that we have
enjoyed the most has been the amount of industry people
that we have had the chance to become acquainted with
over the years only because it seems like no matter where
we went someone would always introduce us as “hey
this is Soileau, the guy who bred Tapp Datt”.
The influence
is
Undeniable...
“As much as this boar has
been used or not been used
he’s probably the one boar that
regardless what kind of sow that
we have bred him to, he never
leaves us at the end of the day
wishing we would have done
something different, they just
continue to get better and better!”

check out what some of
our customers have to say:
“It’s so nice to have a place that you can call and order semen and
know that the guys selling you the semen are in the trenches with you
and facing the same battles and concerns we all face in the showpig
industry, from current trends to futuristic views. These guys are always
there to discuss matings and breeding ideas and have always gone
above and beyond to accommodate our needs, even going as far as
sending us semen that were meant for their own sows! Class Act guys
offering an Elite set of boars that we wouldn’t be afraid to breed every
sow on the farm!”
Eric Marceaux, Marceaux Genetics
“The Stud is a firm that is quality conscious and very service oriented.
We’ll soon be posting several winners sired by their boars.”
Glenn Blount, Blount Farms
“Thank you for providing our farm with the things that matter!
Conception rates – Our conception rate on Stud Semen is 91.3%. Happy.
Happy. Happy!
Service - Thank you Daniel and Kelton for being men of character. You
will never know what that truly means to me. I cherish our friendship and
your service!
Quality - At the end of the day winning is all that matters! Even with all
the professional service and unbeatable conception rates in the world if I
felt thatthe boar lineup was not capable of generating winners “The Stud”
would not be a viable option for me. I truly believe that this boar lineup
is on the cuttingedge of industry trends today combined with all the
confidence in the world for the future.”
Kenneth Soileau,Ville Platte, Louisiana
“Our experience using semen from The Stud has been positive. Semen
quality has been phenomenal and last summer helped produce our
biggest litter sizes we’ve had in while. Kelton and Carrie always help
to accommodate any order. The set of boars on stud are very good,
extremely deep, and offer diversity for any type of program.”
