Keene presents Lumastar, a family of stylish luminaires built for
today’s world where we go every day to work and play, to eat
and shop.
Moving from atriums to libraries, from restaurants to boutiques,
Lumastar makes light work, with direct / indirect lighting available
in ratios ranging from 1:1 to 3:1.
The innovative shapes of Lumastar – intriguing, yet unobtrusive –
are a complement to modern interior design for commercial and
retail environments. Four appealing styles come to life through the
artful combination of top and bottom components, each in two
tasteful shapes.
People approaching spaces illuminated by Lumastar are attracted
to their impressive appearance.
Once in the space, the efficacy of the luminaire takes over and the
lighting becomes what great lighting should be: all-encompassing,
totally complementary.

Design Flexibility
Lumastar offers high performance lighting with four distinct profiles,
each available in 16 and 25 inch diameter. Exposed metal components are
finished in Keene’s Duraplex IITM Electrostatic powder-coat paint finish. White
is the standard, but a world of optional colours is available for specification.
Nemeter
Tailored Light Distribution
Lumastar offers comfort and performance, with 90% lighting efficiency and excellent
uniformity. Precise molding technology allows Lumastar to be specified with the ratio
of direct / indirect lighting most appropriate for the space. Lumastar offers:
75% direct/25% indirect
65% direct/35% indirect
55% direct/45% indirect
Sculptor
50% direct/50% indirect
Reflector Dome
Lumastar's unique dome/diffuser is injection molded from high-impact stabilized acrylic.
The reflector features precise prism placement for, low brightness, excellent uniformity
and maximum light output. Lighting efficiencies of up to 98% can be realized.
Ballast options for application flexibility
Tr i b u t e
Electromagnetic and electronic ballasts are available in remote, surface, integral
configurations, depending on the model and application. Metal Halide ballasts are
high power factor and are capable of starting at -30°C. Compact fluorescent lamps
use a high power factor electronic ballast capable of starting at 0°C.
Electronic ballast model available with optional straight cord for field installation.
Remote ballast includes wiring chamber and steel mounting feet. Surface ballast uses
a hands-free mounting plate allowing recessed box, surface feed-through box or flush
feed-through mounting. Integral ballast connects ballast housing directly to the reflector.
Durable Construction
All units are supplied with a ball type swivel hanger to ensure the luminaire hangs
straight. Surface and Integral ballast housings are constructed of precision die-cast
aluminum. Remote ballast is enclosed in a stamped steel housing. Electronic ballast
is enclosed in a precision formed aluminum housing.
Approvals
Lumastar is CSA / cUL approved, Damp Location rated, and suitable for operation
in ambient temperatures up to 35°C.
