Mortise locksets and mortise panic
exit devices, with or without a
deadlatch
Operation:After releasing the
latchbolt the keeper returns to the
locked position.
Note: Use 9020SYS for the
Sargent 8100 series and
9020 for the 8200 series.
9030, 9030SCH, 9030YSA
Mortise locksets where the deadbolt
is used for night latch function only
Operation: Latchbolt released electronically during traffic hours.
Deadbolt manually extended at night
for added security. Deadbolt may be
released electrically but the door will not return to the closed
position.
9040, 9040SCH, 9040YSA
Mortise locksets with a normally
extended 1” deadbolt where lockset is
released, recaptured and contained
Operation: Both latchbolt and deadbolt are released by a single keeper.
Keeper is held open after release so that door may be closed
with deadbolt extended. Keeper returns to locked condition
when bolt re-enters the strike.
9050, 9050SCH, 9050YSA
Mortise locksets where the deadbolt
is not released
Operation:When the deadbolt is
projected manually the strike will not
release. When the deadbolt is retracted access is accomplished by
electrically releasing the keeper.
The 671 Touchbar is a non-latching
electromechanical releasing device
which allows egress at doors
equipped with electric locks.
Pushing the 671 Touchbar at any
point on the bar activates an
internal switch which controls
power to the locking device.

Exit Alarms
690 Series SmartBar
Exit Releasing Device
The 690 Series SmartBar is an electronic switching device with
no moving parts, which serves as a non-latching exit bar at an
egress door. It allows one motion egress at doors equipped with
electric or electronic locks, with “no prior knowledge” required
by the user.Touching the SmartBar at any point on the bar activates internal circuitry which controls power to the locking
device. The SmartBar provides redundant detection systems to
sense an exit request. The first is a capacitance touch sense circuit which detects a change in capacitance when a person
touches the metal portion of the bar.The second is an infrared
light beam which is directed across the front of the bar. Either
the capacitance or light beam detection will activate the unit.
The patented redundant system provides a high level of life safety and peace of mind to the end user. An optional audible alarm
is available. This feature provides a security alarm to alert when
there is a prolonged unlocked condition caused by a continued
capacitance signal or a continued break in the light beam.
