The cornerstone of the GranVille luminaire’s superior performance
is an advanced borosilicate glass optical refractor, which provides
precise light control through finely molded prisms. The prismatic
refractor helps direct the light beam to the desired pattern, allows
for maximum spacing with excellent uniformity, minimizes wasted
light, and creates an appealing sparkle that distinguishes the
GranVille Series luminaires from conventional plastic acorn globes.

Efficient light control has been the cornerstone of the GranVille
Classic prismatic glass refractor. The GranVille Premier takes optical
performance to a new level by incorporating an integral ISD
SuperGlass® reflector improving the downward lighting component
which increases the amount of light on the roadway, maximizing pole
spacing, and reducing the cost of ownership for the system.
The GranVille Series is designed to offer flexibility in the design
process. Multiple styles of housings, trim options, and optical choices
are provided to meet both the aesthetic and mechanical requirements
of today’s lighting system. Many of our electrical housings incorporate
tool-less entry, integral terminal blocks, ease of relamping, as well as
an integral photocontrol all designed to simplify installation and
maintenance of the lighting system.
HOLOPHANE®
The GranVille family of products has a proven shape that
is desirable for many applications and can be specified to
complement any site architecture. Choosing the correct
scale of product is an important part of the design criteria
especially for municipal streetscape projects. Holophane
has developed a family of products with varying scale
with the GranVille Premier, GranVille Classic,
GranVille Mini, and GranVille Micro product line.
This product family can accommodate a range of mounting
heights mounted either as a post top, wall mount, or pier
mount application. The family of products allows our
customers to utilize multiple scaled luminaires within the
site architecture enhancing the visual appeal of the space
while meeting today’s most stringent lighting requirements.

The GranVille Premier luminaire was designed
to meet the challenges of providing proper
scale with acorns mounted on pole heights
exceeding twelve feet. Many boulevard and
urban applications require a taller mounting
height to enhance the site architecture. This
product has the flexibility to meet both
pedestrian and urban scale requirements as the
luminaire can be placed on a ten foot pole as
well as an eighteen foot assembly and provides
an aesthetically pleasing lighting system.

Premier luminaire takes optical performance to

Easy installation and maintenance are critical
requirements for today’s lighting system. The
GranVille Premier luminaire incorporates tool
less entry, a modular “utility” ballast module,
internal twist-off photocontrol, integral terminal
block, and an internal relamping module that
simplifies installation and maintenance. The
luminaire ships complete with the glass
installed and is never removed for relamping
purposes.
The GranVille Premier luminaire is available with
decorative covers, trim, finials, and customized
medallions to accent any project theme. The
luminaire will scale with a range of decorative
posts as well as a variety of decorative wall
brackets to complement the post top assemblies
further enhancing the site architecture.

prismatic light refractor helps direct the light

spacings with excellent uniformity, and creates
an appealing sparkle that distinguishes the
GranVille luminaire from conventional plastic
acorn globes.
Although the efficient light control is the
cornerstone of the GranVille Classic’s prismatic
glass refractor, the prismatic glass optical
assembly creates the sparkle that provides the
visual appeal in any daytime setting.
The GranVille Classic luminaire is widely used
for municipal streets, residential streets, college
campuses, and commercial area applications.
The GranVille Classic luminaire is available with
decorative covers, six distinct ballast modules,
trim options, finials, all designed to accent any
project theme. The new modern fluted ballast
module (M) incorporates tool less entry, the
modular “Utility” ballast module, integral
terminal block, and an optional internal relamp
module designed to simplify installation and
maintenance.
The luminaire will scale with a range of
decorative post styles from eight to fourteen
feet in height. In addition, the luminaire can be
mated with a variety of decorative wall mount
brackets to complement the post top assemblies
further enhancing the site architecture.

The heat resistant borosilicate glass refractors available are designed to
provide IESNA Type II, III, IV, and V lighting distributions. In addition,
the Lunar Optics reflector is available as a standard optical option in
applications where IESNA cutoff is desired. This allows for a choice of
distribution which will most effectively illuminate a particular area.
Low wattage HPS, metal halide, and induction lamps are available.

The luminaire is available with one of six
distinct housings ensuring the appropriate
transition between pole and luminaire in
any installation. In retrofit applications, a
variety of traditional castings allow
GranVille luminaires to adapt to virtually
any existing pole.
The Lunar Optics reflector has been designed to reduce the lighting
intensity at the critical vertical angles to achieve IESNA Cutoff.

The GranVille luminaire is available with a tool-less entry hinged top
for easy lamp replacement. Also, a variety of decorative trim options
such as covers, finials, ribs, and bands allow the GranVille luminaire to
blend with any streetscape or site architecture.

Standard size GranVille luminaires are ideally
mounted at 8 to 14 feet for safety and security,
the “Mini” version of this tasteful luminaire is
typically mounted at 5 to 8 feet. Even with its
smaller scale, the GranVille Mini provides the
same high quality performance and durability.

Its classic glass refractor is able to weather heat
and storms, while blending with almost any
architectural style and out-performing
conventional plastic globes. The fixture’s
illumination is comfortable and appealing, yet
controlled and unobtrusive.

any installation. The “Leaf” style housing
will predominately be installed in

with a variety of decorative poles or wall

Applications for the GranVille Micro wall
